The 28-year-old marketing executive from Manhattan, New York finally had a one-on-one date with Zach when they traveled to Estonia during week 6. They shared a relaxing spa day, including some time in a nude sauna. Although Zach and Ariel wore their bathing suits, they were joined by a naked middle-aged couple who offered them relationship advice. Next, they spent some time in the hot tub, and the couple surprised them again.

A few years before joining the cast of The Bachelor, Ariel dated Roswell, New Mexico actor Michael Vlamis. Although Ariel and Michael's social media accounts no longer have any evidence of them dating, Michael shared a video on Tumblr in September 2019, which is still available through the Roswell, New Mexico fan account manesalex. In the video, Michael says, "I feel so lucky. We just off set a little bit ago. I got my girlfriend in town." He then put his arm around The Bachelor season 27 contestant Ariel, and kissed her on the cheek. Michael joked, "And I got my other girlfriend in town!" showing actor Tyler Blackburn, who played his boyfriend on the show. They kissed on the lips as Michael said, "Oooh."
