The reality show Family Karma is back for season 2 and we're here to share information about one of the show's stars, Amrit Kapai. Bravo viewers are looking for facts about the entire cast, so they'll enjoy learning about Amrit's background. He's a hard-working and ambitious person. He also has an interesting personal life.

Fans of Bravo were thrilled when the network came out with Family Karma, as the show gave viewers the chance to peer into the inner workings of a traditional Indian family. The latest docu-series was unveiled in January of 2020 and it was the first reality television show to feature an Indian cast. The young professionals live and work in Miami while they show off their heritage. The key to the show’s success was filming how they keep their tight-knit, traditional family unit going, as multiple generations often live in one home.

Amrit is the level-headed friend of the group and works as a lawyer. According to his Bravo biography, he is 35 years old and on the verge of making a big commitment with his longtime boyfriend, Nicholas Kouchoukos. Fans are watching him reach for the stars professionally as he is striving to be named partner at his law firm. Like his castmate Brian Benni, he is getting plenty of attention from the show's viewers.

Viewers of the hit show know that Amrit lived in Chicago for seven years after he took and passed the Illinois bar exam. He attended school in St. Louis. He decided to move back home to Florida after he was offered a job with his law firm in the Sunshine State. Amrit works for the law firm as a senior associate. The main purpose of the move was to be able to help the firm set up a new branch. When he isn't busy with work, Amrit enjoys Crossfit. Like other Family Karma castmates, he's very fitness-oriented.

The second season of Family Karma will be important for Amrit as he will be coming out as gay to his grandmother, who thinks his boyfriend is his roommate. The couple has recently moved into their own Miami high-rise apartment and is talking about a possible engagement. Amrit asked his father for marriage advice in the last episode. In a confessional, Amrit tells cameras, "Coming out; it’s terrifying" since, in India, people may be shunned for being gay. He has bucked tradition, just like his costar Anish Ramakrishna.

Amrit has made it clear that he thinks the show’s premise is extremely important. He hopes that the platform he has from doing the show helps him to be a voice for other South Asians like him. This impressive reality star is well worth watching.
