Family Karma’s Bali Chainani admitted that she was worried about celebrating the premiere of the show's new season amid the COVID-19 outbreak in India. The aunt wants to make sure the country is getting enough attention and help.

Season 2 aired on Wednesday, and it lived up to fans’ anticipation. The series introduced Bravo viewers to the Indian culture as they thrived in Miami. Family Karma is not your typical reality show and focuses on the importance of traditional family values while also growing up in the Western world. Not only are the fun kids back, but so are the funny and social media savvy aunties and uncles. The colorful parties and perfect amount of drama have hooked viewers. Season 1 favorites Anisha Ramakrishna, Amrit Kapai, Bali Chainani, Brian Benni, Monica Vaswani, Shaan Patel and Vishal Parvani are set to return. The first reality television show to feature an Indian cast is doing extremely well, and the season should not disappoint.

Bali spoke out to Page Six to express how excited she was to start the new season. But the mother of one shared that she did have some reservations since her homeland, India, was struggling to fight off the coronavirus. Nevertheless, the auntie is happy that the network took the chance to follow around nine young Indian Americans as they navigate their lives while staying true to their roots.

Bali told the outlet that the cast had such a great party for Season 1, and then the world shut down, saying, “So we want to be mindful to what’s happening. We also want to be super-mindful to what’s happening to our friends and family in our own country in India right now. So whatever we do plan, we want to be sensitive to everybody involved and make sure that we are able to give back.” Fans learned that Bali and the rest of the cast members were currently in the process of planning a charity event to help benefit their community back in India.

While the Indian variant is taking over England, it has also made its way to the United States. There were more than 28 million cases confirmed in India at the start of the month. Bali wanted to make sure that everyone knew that they were in this pandemic together and also wanted to show India that they had not been forgotten. The upcoming season is sure to be jammed-packed with great Indian fashions as well as juicy gossip.
