TLC's hit reality show The Family Chantel concluded its second season on December 14. Since then, fans have been eagerly anticipating word on a third season full of family and relationship drama. While a third season has not yet been confirmed by the network, an examination of the show's success suggests that a renewal will be likely.

Chantel Everett introduced the world to her family when she appeared with her fiancé Pedro Jimeno on season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé. The Atlanta-based beauty had fallen for the Dominican Republic native, but her family was intensely suspicious of Pedro's intentions with Chantel. The family drama led to the Everett family securing their spin-off show. The show focused mainly on the drama between the Everett family and Pedro in the first season before turning the suspicion to Royal Everett's fiancé, and now wife, Angenette for the second season. The success of the series even led to mother Karen Everett getting a TLC spin-off show Ask Mama Chantel that premiered on Facebook Watch this past fall.

The first season of The Family Chantel premiered on July 22, 2019, and the second season premiered on October 12, 2020. Given the 14-month gap between the first two seasons, fans have no reason to worry that the show has not yet been renewed. Fans were speculating about a possible cancellation last summer only to have the show come back in the fall due to its strong and steady ratings that have not dipped. According to TV Deets, the show ratings have held steady in its demo. Additionally, delays are expected for many series due to the pandemic. Fortunately, the extended Everett family appears closer than ever despite their onscreen drama. Many couples, including Chantel and Pedro, are still together. You can view a recent post of the couple below:

Chantel and Pedro are one couple who has managed to overcome their relationship drama, but it also appears as though Royal and wife Angenette have done the same. The couple has shared happy images of themselves, ending rumors of a split due to the drama the family put the Filipina through. Therefore, both couples would be expected back for a third season, as well as parents Karen and Thomas who are also a happy couple. Additionally, the rest of the cast would be expected to return for a third season. That includes River and Winter Everett, Jah, and Lydia and Nicole Jimeno. Additionally, Nicole's boyfriend Alejandro would be expected to return since their relationship has become the new source of suspicion and drama.

A third season is almost certain to take place due to the loyal fan base the show has acquired. Karen's popularity has led to her acquiring her own show, while River has ventured into music. Meanwhile, family star Chantel has become a popular influencer on Instagram and amassed an impressive following. The 29-year-old has secured many brand deals and sponsorships. Additionally, the show has some storylines left hanging. Nicole's relationship with Alejandro has been called into question by Pedro, and Angenette's tension with the Everetts has made for compelling television. Chantel and Karen's argument with her mom at the end of the second season is likely to lead to more drama between the families.

Fans of The Family Chantel will have to stay tuned for word on a third season. Fortunately, the verdict looks positive and many of the famous family members are active on social media to keep fans in the loop between seasons.
