Season 3 of The Family Chantel will be premiering on October 11, and several changes have occurred since the season 2 finale last December. While the majority of the cast, including stars Chantel and Pedro Jimeno, appears ready to air their messy romances and familial drama on another season of the hit 90 Day Fiancé spin-off show, not everyone will be coming back. That means that there will be new drama and old rivalries alike for The Family Chantel season 3. Discover what there is to know about the upcoming season's plotlines and returning cast.

The Family Chantel season 1 continued Chantel and Pedro's 90 Day Fiancé plot that saw her parents Karen and Thomas against her Dominican Republic husband. With Pedro finally being accepted into the messy Atlanta family, season 2 then turned the family's suspicions to Chantel's brother Royal's partner Angenette. The Filipina woman was subject to endless drama from Chantel and Karen in particular. Season 2 concluded with Angenette and Royal marrying, while relationships between Angenette's family and the Everetts remained tense. Meanwhile, Pedro was also involved in drama, as both he and his mother Lidia disapproved of his younger sister Nicole dating a married man, Alejandro.

The official @90dayfiance Instagram shared a trailer for The Family Chantel season 3, which, combined with social media posts, has provided insight into the new season. Though viewers speculated the entire cast would be returning for season 3, the trailer made it clear that one couple opted out of filming. Royal and Angenette, who are currently expecting their first child, appear to have sat this season out after dealing with steady drama during season 2. The couple is currently happily married and awaiting the arrival of a baby boy. However, their absence doesn’t mean that the Everett family won’t have someone to argue with. Pedro’s younger sister Nicole appears to be stepping up as the show's main villain. Season 3 will take place in both Atlanta and the Dominican Republic, promising plenty of drama for both the Everett and Jimeno families.

Pedro will be in the thick of familial issues as he digs for information from his mother Lidia about his father and deals with his sister Nicole. Pedro's dislike of her married boyfriend, Alejandro, will lead to a physical altercation, which prompts a bitter Nicole to claim Pedro slept with her best friend, Coraima. Pedro has since shared the cheating rumors on Instagram, which has caused viewers to question if they are scripted. There will also be issues in the Everett family as overprotective matriarch Karen turns her suspicions to her daughter Winter's partner Jah. Meanwhile, Karen also tries to dig into her son River's love life while the brother of Chantel focuses on releasing new music. Lastly, series star Chantel appears to take a back seat to drama for season 3 as she focuses on buying a home.

Though The Family Chantel fans have called out the Everett family for constantly meddling in each other's love lives, it appears the show will significantly shift the drama to the Jimeno family for season 3. This could provide fresher plotlines for audiences who don't want to see Everett parents Karen and Thomas endlessly being suspicious of their children's partners. However, Pedro's mother and sister have also received cold receptions from fans. Many consider Nicole to be the ultimate The Family Chantel villain, though many viewers appear excited to see more messy drama in season 3.
