Royal Everett was the newest family member introduced in The Family Chantel season 2. He is the older brother of one of the show's stars, Chantel. Royal appeared to follow in her footsteps when it came to meeting someone from another country and falling in love with that person.
Royal is the oldest of Karen and Thomas Everett's four children. While he's part of the popular spin-off series' second season, Royal missed the first season (and the family's time on 90 Day Fiancé) because he was finishing up school in Texas. He met his future wife Angenette while he was still living in Texas. Angenette sent him a friend request on Facebook. After meeting in person just twice, Royal was convinced that she was the one. He popped the question. After the two got married in a quiet and small ceremony in America, Angenette wanted a more traditional ceremony in her native country, the Philippines. However, once she arrived in Atlanta to meet Royal's family, ahead of their second wedding, nothing but drama ensued. She was accused of cheating, told to avoid hanging out with Royal's sisters, and left hurt and offended when Royal expressed suspicions that he wasn't the father of her miscarried child.
Things heated up even more when the family arrived in the Philippines for the second wedding. During an outing with her friends, Angenette was blindsided when Chantel confronted her. Chantel told her all the things Royal had been saying behind her back. Once Royal arrived, he tried to avoid confrontation but was unable to. His wife was emotional and upset about his allegations. After attempts to diffuse the tension, Royal left and tried to attack one of the producers who followed him. Since filming wrapped, Royal has been seen on a romantic stroll with his wife, ahead of the Christmas holiday, as reported by Soap Dirt.
While it hasn't been confirmed if the newlyweds will return for The Family Chantel season three (the third season has yet to receive the green light from TLC), it wouldn't be too much of a surprise if they opted out of appearing on another season of the show. The Everetts offended Royal's wife at the second wedding. Karen and her daughters showed up in super glam wedding attire and this move upset Angenette, as she felt they were trying to upstage her. “We don’t really afford those expensive stuff,” she explained. “It kind of upset me a little bit because the attention of the people should be on us, Royal and I.”
The drama Royal and his wife faced on the show is similar to what Chantel and Pedro dealt with when Chantel first introduced Pedro to her family. Her parents were suspicious of Pedro's intentions. The Family Chantel parents wondered if he was using her for citizenship. At least Angenette seems to be showing that her intentions are genuine.
