Riverknight Everett from The Family Chantel recently released a new music video, but fans are put off that he chose his sister, Chantel Everett, to be in it. The 24-year-old supporting cast member is most known for his aspiring music career, which began a few years ago. River's passion and love for rapping have worked wonders as he began releasing multiple albums and even got his own house in Atlanta. In 2022, Chantel's younger brother traveled to Texas for a music tour and signed a lucrative deal with the handcrafted Cognac brand Villon.

Over the past few weeks, River teased a new music video he created as part of his new deal. Moreover, the entire Everett family has posted behind-the-scenes content from the video shoot, revealing they are all part of his gig. A few days ago, the 24-year-old musician proudly dropped his big project, "Doubted," on YouTube and other platforms. The song features Riverknight, his mother Karen, his father Thomas and his elder sister Chantel. The entire family is all glammed up in the music video, dressed in black, white and silver.

Unfortunately, Riverknight's music video hasn't impressed The Family Chantel viewers for several reasons. Recently, Reddit user Ladylerouge-183 shared a clip from the video, stating that it is hard to "make out the words" in the song. The fan added, "River using his sister in the music video is a little cringe," to which many other Redditors agreed. NinaBrwn wrote, "Hire a model that you aren't related to!" Mallkno commented, "Not gonna lie, that's...weird." Someone else said the video was creepy, adding, "There's plenty of video girls out there. Chantel could've made a cameo appearance in another way."

Family Chantel Fans Want Winter To Be In Music Video

While many Family Chantel fans don't like that Riverknight cast Chantel in his music gig, some have also questioned why his other sister Winter Everett wasn't in the video. A few days ago, the rapper shared a family portrait on Instagram from the song's video shoot. The photo featured every member of the family except for Winter. Fans asked River why he left her out of the video, but he didn't respond. But Winter shared her brother's posts and Instagram Stories, which suggest that the reason for her not being in the song isn't some family feud.

Overall, it seems that The Family Chantel viewers are just bewildered about why River featured his elder sister like that. Most fans feel he could've easily hired a different model for the task, which wouldn't have made it as odd. The only plausible reason could be that featuring his famous family was probably part of some negotiation. If not, River's idea of making the video feels like the family event has certainly backfired on him. Many The Family Chantel fans also think the rap video could've been much better if it didn't look like an Everett family reunion.
