Throughout the second season of The Family Chantel, Nicole Jimeno and Alejandro Padron’s relationship was a focal point. Did their romance survive the chaos of the Jimeno-Everett family?
In The Family Chantel season two, Nicole and Alejandro's budding relationship was a major storyline. The season started off with Nicole expressing she’s “super in love” with Alejandro. The reality star said she met her beau a few months before the filming of the show began. Alejandro is also a Dominican Republic native and currently lives in New York. When they started dating, the couple was doing long distance, as Nicole lives in Atlanta. She said the relationship with him was “very complicated” because of the distance between them. However, Nicole routinely visited him in New York and planned to move there to live with him soon. Nicole adoringly nicknamed Alejandro her “chichi” and said he’s very “attentive” to her needs.
Based on all the facts, it looks like Nicole and Alejandro are still together. On Nicole’s Instagram, she shared a picture on December 17 of her and Pedro together. Many fans supported their relationship in the comments section. “I’m catching up on the show and THIS is what I wanted to see!! You seem so happy together and I wish you NOTHING but happiness and love!” one Instagram user wrote. “I’m so happy your relationship worked out. Be happy! Screw the haters,” another user commented. Nicole shared many other moments of her relationship with Pedro on her Insta page. While she shares tons of photos of her “chichi” on her Instagram, there’s no sign of Nicole on Alejandro’s Instagram.
When Nicole and Alejandro first began dating, there was push back from her friends and family. Nicole’s friends thought Alejandro was the “opposite” of the men she usually goes for. They also didn’t like that he “sells phones” because Nicole is in the process of establishing herself as a professional career woman. Pedro Jimeno’s wife, Chantel Everett, said, “She’s smiling in all the pictures because she knows she’s got a Green Card… She’s just using him to get to the United States.” When Pedro first met Alejandro, he said, “My first impression, I don’t like that guy. I hate Alejandro. He tried to be so cocky, like, he feel that he’s the best -- you know, better than other men. I don’t know why he feels like this.” Alejandro revealed to Pedro that he moved to America on a tourist visa “and then I got married.” He assured Pedro that Nicole was aware, but Alejandro was still heated, “This guy [blows] my mind.” Alejandro revealed, “But I’m in the process of divorce.”
No relationship in the Jimeno-Everett clan comes without drama. There was tons of debate around Alejandro and Nicole’s relationship, but they’ve endured the storm and are still together. We’re looking forward to more updates on The Family Chantel romance. Will Alejandro finalize his divorce? Will he eventually get along with Nicole’s brother and family? Will Nicole move to New York to live with Alejandro? Only time will tell!
