Chantel and Pedro Jimeno are back for The Family Chantel season 3, and the married couple might see their marriage threatened by Nicole Jimeno's best friend, Coraima Morla. Coraima has notoriously had a crush on Pedro for some time, which previously escalated into a steamy dance behind Chantel's back. With Nicole ready to fuel any discord in Chantel and Pedro's relationship, Coraima could get between Chantel and Pedro.
Pedro and Chantel have made their marriage work despite considerable family drama since they first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé. Chantel's family notoriously disliked Pedro, while Pedro's mother Lidia and sister Nicole returned the negativity to Chantel. The Family Chantel season 3 will drop a major bombshell, as Nicole revealed in previews that Pedro and Coraima slept together. The revelation will likely devastate Chantel and Pedro's marriage, though many viewers believe it is scripted drama. However, scenes from the new season demonstrate how Coraima is getting between Chantel and Pedro even if she didn't have an affair with Chantel's husband.
The official @tlc Instagram account shared a The Family Chantel season 3 clip that reveals the cracks in Pedro and Chantel’s marriage. The clip showed Chantel and Pedro confronting Coraima and Nicole in Spanish over Coraima’s relationship with Pedro. Chantel insisted Coraima crossed a line and clearly made a pass at Pedro in the past. Though Chantel “promised” herself she would keep her cool, she admits that “seeing her [Coraima’s] face brought back all of my anger and I cannot contain it.” Chantel snapped at Coraima and told her in Spanish," You can’t have my man." Though Chantel was heated and ready to fight, Pedro did not appear to take the situation as seriously and be the support Chantel needed. Chantel escalated the scene by throwing a drink in Coraima's face before storming off.
Pedro thanked Coraima for her friendship before confirming they couldn’t be together due to Pedro's marriage to Chantel. However, there was clear friction between Chantel and Pedro during the confrontation, as they spoke over each other multiple times and Chantel urged Pedro to defend her when he wanted to speak in his own words. It was clear Chantel was more upset than Pedro, something Coraima noted. “I understand that her insecurities are so great that she feels that I can replace her as a woman,” Coraima told the camera in Spanish. Coraima made it clear she didn’t think the flirtation was one-sided, as no one had forced Pedro to dance with her. Since Coraima has been open about having a crush on Pedro and appeared extremely unapologetic with Chantel, it is likely she will continue to pursue Pedro if given the opportunity. Coraima also confirmed she thinks Pedro should be with a Dominican woman, like her, and not an American like Chantel.
Chantel already has notoriously bad blood with Nicole, and Nicole has made it clear she is on Coraima's side and is not looking out for her brother's marriage. With both Nicole and Coraima scheming against her and Pedro failing to adequately defend her, Chantel could see her relationship with Pedro face a serious challenge. Chantel already cannot stand her in-laws. If Lidia and Nicole do move close to Chantel and Pedro, visits from her in-laws and a traveling Coraima could push Chantel past her limit. The Family Chantel season 3 will further explore the truth behind Coraima and Pedro to reveal if Pedro actually betrayed Chantel.
