Since he acquired his new job, Pedro appears to have skyrocketing self-confidence. His coworkers appeared on The Family Chantel season 4, and shared how much they love having Pedro as a part of their work family. Several of Pedro’s coworkers speak Spanish, and so do some of his clients. This allows Pedro to finally connect with people in the United States in his first language. He has also seen his social life bloom, due to his new coworkers, as he often joins them for meals, drinks, and activities after work. However, that means that he has less time for his wife, Chantel.

Although Pedro appears to love his real estate job, it isn’t helping with his marital issues. Chantel and Pedro discussed on The Family Chantel season 4 how he spends a lot of his free time with his coworkers and is no longer interested in spending leisure time with his wife. This has caused a strain in their marriage, as Chantel feels like Pedro isn’t interested in her. However, he seems happy with the changes he's made to his lifestyle in the United States. Many The Family Chantel fans are happy to see him feeling at home in America.
