Prime Video looks to be staying true to the source material in new Fallout TV show set images revealing the Power Armor and Vault Suit. The upcoming series is based on Interplay Entertainment and Bethesda's video game franchise of the same name, putting players in a post-apocalyptic wasteland from a nuclear war. Despite being set in the future, the Fallout games memorably envision its future in a post-war 1940s and '50s aesthetic with its retro design elements and technology.

Walton Goggins, best known for his work in Justified and The Righteous Gemstones, is leading the cast of the Fallout TV show alongside Ella Purnell, Kyle MachLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones and Aaron Moten. Development on the series adaptation of the games was announced in mid-2020 when Amazon acquired the rights for a live-action project, with Westworld co-creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy signing on to develop and executive produce the series alongside franchise vet Todd Howard, while Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner were later brought on as showrunners. Filming on the Fallout TV show kicked off earlier this month and now audiences are getting an exciting glimpse of what's to come from the adaptation.

Though story details remain largely unknown for it, the Fallout TV show set images offer a promising look at how Prime Video is adapting the iconic game franchise. The Power Armor and Vault Suit seen in the behind-the-scenes photos look as though they're pulled straight out of Bethesda's RPG titles. Given the latter is generally only seen from those fresh out of a Vault or still living in one, the Fallout TV show set images may point towards some of the story taking place in the past as survivors of the nuclear apocalypse adjust to their new life, or the show will feature multiple Vault Dwellers making their way through the wasteland.

Whichever the case may be, the Fallout TV show set images are sure to come as an exciting tease for fans of the video game franchise from a design perspective at the very least. Given Prime Video is also in talks to develop the Mass Effect games to series, the accurate-looking depiction of the Fallout titles is sure to be a promising sign for the streamer's adaptation of the BioWare franchise. With production only just underway on the Fallout TV show, audiences will have to keep their eyes peeled for further reveals from the set.
