Fans of Bethesda's post-apocalyptic series will need to wait a long time for Fallout 5, but the wait is much shorter for the impressive fan project Fallout: London, which just dropped a new trailer. Bethesda is known for releasing engrossing open-world RPGs, and the Fallout games are no exception. Since the developer released Fallout 3 in 2008, fans have been able to explore the series' vast landscapes ravaged by nuclear warfare. DLC and mods have successfully added hundreds of hours of new Fallout content for fans. Still, an upcoming fan project looks to take things a step further and allow players to explore a huge city across the ocean for the first time in franchise history.

Many very impressive Fallout 4 mods are currently available and being built. However, Fallout: London stands out with professional voice-acting, an entirely new setting, and incredible writing. Last year's reveal trailer excited fans and even impressed the developers of the original game. Bethesda Game Studios has even hired the mod's head writer, Stephanie Zachariadis, to help with future projects like Starfield, Elder Scrolls 6, and Fallout 5. However, development seems to be moving along well for the Fallout: London mod which showed off new gameplay in an exciting new trailer.

A new trailer for the upcoming Fallout: London mod reveals a fresh look at the fan project's London setting, complete with weaponized elephants and a teased 2023 release date. As reported by PC Gamer, the trailer posted on the Fallout: London Youtube channel showcases the best look yet at the mod's take on a post-apocalyptic London. Players will be able to explore the foggy British city for the first time in a series that has prominently featured ravaged American locations. New weapons, armor, and familiar London landmarks are featured in the new trailer that can be watched below.

The Fallout games include a large open world for players to explore and meet many well-written characters, but workable vehicles do not exist in the games. With the game's large maps, transportation would greatly help players navigate. The new Fallout: London trailer shows a character on a rideable bicycle and a minigun-wielding elephant. However, it's currently unclear if players will be able to use these modes of transportation when the mod launches sometime next year, or if they will be reserved for NPCs.

Bethesda games like Elder Scrolls Skyrim and Fallout 4 are ripe with fun mods for fans on PC and consoles to enjoy. While some mods add hilarious cosmetics and weapons, others add huge new areas and expand the series' story, sometimes making it deeper and arguably better. And Fallout: London looks like a great new addition to the franchise while players wait for any new official Fallout content from Bethesda Game Studios.
