Netflix's 2022 Christmas movie Falling For Christmas stars Lindsay Lohan in the leading role, yet also boasts a range of famous faces in the cast. Telling a time-honored story of Christmas redemption, the movie revolves around a spoiled hotel heiress (Lohan) who suffers chronic amnesia after a skiing accident/disastrous marriage proposal. Following a traditional holiday story arc, Lohan's character slowly discovers the true meaning of Christmas, leaving her selfish ways behind in the process.
Also included in the Falling For Christmas cast are luminaries from movies and shows like Glee, Malignant, and even Dancing With The Stars. With an 80% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes at the time of writing, it's clear that the movie is looking to go above and beyond a typical low-budget Christmas flick. Lindsay Lohan As Sierra Belmont
After a brief hiatus from acting, Lindsay Lohan's return to cinema sees her play Sierra Belmont, the pampered daughter of an American hotel magnate. As the central figure in the story, Falling For Christmas sees Lohan's character lose her memory, before learning what Christmas is all about thanks to a stay with Jake's family. A former child star, Lindsay Lohan's acting credits include The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, and, perhaps most famously, Mean Girls. In addition to her performative credentials, however, Lohan has also enjoyed success as a singer, including her debut album Speak, which debuted at number 4 in the Billboard 200 back in 2004.
Chord Overstreet As Jake
Leading the cast opposite Lohan's Sierra Belmont, Chord Overstreet plays Jake – a small hotel owner who rescues Sierra after her accident. Although Sierra is engaged, it's clear that Overstreet's Jake represents a romantic obstacle in the narrative. As well as Falling For Christmas, Overstreet is best known for his role as Sam Evans in Ryan Murphy's Glee, as well as in Apple TV+'s Acapulco.
Olivia Perez As Avy
In addition to Overstreet's Jake, one of the most important influences on Sierra's transformation in Falling For Christmas is Avy. Played by Olivia Perez, she fulfills a somewhat typical Christmas movie role of both worldly-wise child and advocate for the magic of the season. Beyond Falling For Christmas, Perez has been featured in 2019's Swallow and the 2021 musical In The Heights.
George Young As Tad
As a contrast to Overstreet's character, George Young plays Tad – Sierra's equally privileged fiancé/boyfriend. Although she forgets him fairly swiftly, Tad is actually responsible for the narrative's major turning point, when during his mountain-top proposal, the ski-clad Sierra accidentally slips backwards off a cliff, leaving Tad forlornly clutching a ring. Beyond his role as Falling For Christmas' hapless love interest, George Young has had a varied film and television career. As well as parts in the shocking 2021 horror story Malignant, he has also featured in the 2016 series Containment and the 2014 series Grace, for which he was nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the Asian Television Awards.
Jack Wagner As Beauregard Belmont
Rounding out the main Falling For Christmas cast is Jack Wagner as the slightly nefarious Beauregard Belmont. As Sierra's father, Beauregard leads the search for his missing daughter and heir, though is in many ways perhaps responsible for her most selfish and spoiled tendencies. Away from cinema, Wagner is most recognizable for his nineties roles in soap operas Santa Barbara and Melrose Place. However, he has also forged a successful career as a musician, releasing several popular singles, including 1984's "All I Need".
Falling For Christmas Supporting Cast & Characters
Alejandra Flores as Alejandra Carlisle: A veteran performer, Flores plays Alejandra Carlisle, an employee of Jake's small hotel. As well as Falling For Christmas, viewers may recognize Flores for her role as Señora Cortaza in Better Call Saul season 5.
Chase Ramsey as Terry Carver: An employee of Beauregard's tasked with finding the missing Sierra. Carver is also known for his performances in Law & Order: Organized Crime and CSI: Las Vegas, as well as an upcoming role in Kevin Costner's epic Western Horizon.
Antonio D. Charity as Sheriff Borden: As a representative for law and order, Antonio D. Charity's Sheriff Borden is responsible for pairing up Sierra and Jake in the first place. Beyond Falling For Christmas, Borden has also been featured in The Wire, The Orville, and Transformers spin-off Bumblebee.
Blythe Howard as Dr Layla Monroe: The doctor responsible for Sierra's care after her fall, Dr Layla Monroe is the other half of the pair responsible for discharging her into Jake's hotel. As a performer, Howard is known for small roles in Yellowstone and Netflix's Mindhunter season 2.
Aliana Lohan as stylist: Despite only having a small role in Falling For Christmas as an unnamed stylist, Aliana Lohan's involvement is still significant. As lead star Lindsay Lohan's sister, Aliana has curated a successful modeling career, as well several appearances in other of her sister's projects, such as The Parent Trap.
