The developers of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout have said that crossplay is planned for the game and that ports to Nintendo Switch and Xbox are a possibility. As of the time of writing, Fall Guys is only available on PC and PlayStation 4, with no crossplay existing between the two versions of the game.

It has been revealed that a mobile version of Fall Guys is being developed in China, but there is currently no official word on any other versions of the game being in production. Fall Guys seems like a natural fit for both the Nintendo Switch and the Xbox One, as well as the upcoming next-generation consoles that are due to be released at the end of 2020.

The developers of Fall Guys recently revealed information about the upcoming Season 2, but more has come out in an interview with Kate Stark, who has revealed some of the highlights in a tweet. According to Stark, the developers of Fall Guy confirmed that the new season pass will be free, that dealing with cheaters in the PC version of the game is the top priority at the moment, custom servers are planned, new accessibility modes are on the way, and official merchandise is coming. It was also confirmed that cross-platform play is planned for the future.

In a follow-up post, Stark confirmed that she asked about the possibility of Nintendo Switch & Xbox One ports, to which Lead Designer Joe Walsh answered: "Maybe one day." This is a vague answer and isn't what a lot of people want to hear, as many Microsoft and Nintendo fans are waiting for their chance to play the game on their systems. That said, it's a sight better than a complete dodge or an outright denial, so hope for zany game show action on platforms other than PS4 and PC is still alive.

Fall Guys has seen great success with Sony and Steam, to the point where it's the most downloaded PlayStation Plus game of all time. There is some great news in Stark's interview, but PlayStation fans might want to know if it's possible to disable crossplay, as the bulk of the cheaters in the game are in the PC version of Fall Guys. Cross-platform will be far more important when the game comes to mobile phones and the userbase swells across different versions of the game, so this decision as much about Mediatonic preparing for the future of the game, as it is about benefiting the current fans of Fall Guys who are enjoying the game on PlayStation 4 and PC.
