Now that Season 3 of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is live, players are diving headfirst into the snowy wonderland that is the "Winter Knockout." Icy levels, cozy costumes, and a whole new reward system for Fall Guys players are just some of the new features developer Mediatonic is bringing to the game.

Besides the obvious winter theme of Fall Guys' Season 3, the biggest change to the game are the new stages. Seven new winter-themed levels are live, adding some much-needed variety to the normal rotation of stages. Of the new levels, two are final round events. The new rounds work to make Fall Guys feel less repetitive and keeps players on their toes. A brand new obstacle has been added to the game, too, one with a community-chosen name that will strike fear into every bean: the Ringus Dingus. This massive bell swings from side to side, knocking players away if they get too close. A new Show Selector is also available, for players looking to experience only the Season 3 stages.

As players get deeper into Season 3, Mediatonic will start implementing new traps and puzzles into older stages. Players should expect to see the Ringus Dingus pop up in the most inconvenient places, like at the end of See Saws or in the middle of Fall Ball. Another new trap harassing players is the Flippers. These flat panels spring to life when players walk across them, typically sending them back where they came. Navigating older levels with new traps could keep the game fresh and exciting, as players will have to relearn the stages all over again.

Perhaps the most exciting change compared to earlier seasons is the addition of Fall Guys Crown Ranks. This reward track grants in-game items depending on the number of gold crowns players have earned. As players progress further into the Crown Ranks, new golden costumes and exclusive skins can be unlocked. These golden costumes are reimagined versions of classic outfits, including the Hot Dog, Knight, Chicken, and more. Crown Ranks appear to stretch well past 1,000 crowns, as Mediatonic told fans on Reddit it wants to give even the best players rewards to earn. The best part about Crown Ranks is they are retroactive; crowns players have already won (and even spent) are factored into their starting Crown Rank level.

Fall Guys Season 3 is bringing a lot to the game, and as players start to feel comfortable with the new features, they can expect Mediatonic to change it up yet again. With new content to keep the game fresh, Fall Guys Season 3 should feel unique but familiar to players. And with the added incentive of Crown Ranks, Fall Guys players may now have a long-term chase to keep them coming back.
