A new leak has suggested that Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout could be getting a crossover event with the PlayStation franchise Ratchet & Clank in the near future. Collaborations with other gaming franchises have become a common feature of the title, with the latest event bringing character skins from Super Bomberman R to Fall Guys.

Fall Guys is currently in its fourth season, with developer Mediatonic recently releasing a 4.5 update that brought a number of new stages and variations of previous levels. In total, the latest Fall Guys update introduced 55 variations for already existing rounds. Season 4 officially launched in March, bringing with it a Squads Mode feature, a brand new currency type, and a fresh set of playlists, and a wide array of extra rounds.

A prominent Fall Guys leaker has indicated that the next crossover event for the game could feature Ratchet & Clank. KrxnkyFG, who has a seemingly good track record when it comes to revealing information about the battle royale game, has confirmed that Season 5 will bring with it a collaboration with Sony's platformer franchise, including new costumes and content.

The same leaker also suggests that Season 5 will introduce a Live Events feature, allowing players to unlock extra costumes and items by completing limited-time challenges. Ratchet's costume, which was part of the leak, will apparently be unlocked in this way rather than having users pay for the outfit with crowns. There's currently no release date for when Season 5 will launch, though, leaving fans to speculate when this new content will become available.

Fall Guys has been one of the biggest hits in gaming over the last year, despite the fact that it is currently only available on PC and PlayStation platforms. A version for Nintendo Switch and Xbox is currently in the works but has been delayed from its summer 2021 release date, with Mediatonic refusing to confirm when it will now release. However, the studio did reveal that it is working on crossplay, which it hopes to implement as soon as possible.

The fact that Fall Guys might be getting a crossover event with Ratchet & Clank makes a lot of sense, especially considering that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is about to launch on June 11. It will help promote the new release and provide the battle royale title with fresh and relevant content. Of course, fans can probably look forward to more collaborations over the coming weeks and months.
