The creator of NieR: Automata, PlatinumGames, has said that it would love to see a Fall Guys crossover skin based on its intellectual property. This means there could potentially be a scantily clad 2Bean makeover for the game's notoriously ovoid avatars, although Fall Guys as a friendly cartoonish game will probably go for something less explicit if the crossover indeed happens.

Fall Guys has been a huge hit recently conquering the hearts of players all across the globe. Being a silly party game focused on competitive fun, the title managed to attract 1.5 million players on its launch day. This milestone becomes even more of an achievement when backed up with the fact that the game was developed by a small independent studio. Unfortunately, it also turned out to be somewhat of a problem as the players’ excitement caused technical issues and affected server efficiency. Luckily, the issue has since been mostly dealt with, and the game is moving ahead with millions of players, tons of seasonal content, and even invitational tournaments.

What makes Fall Guys an absolute visual pleasure though is the number of cosmetics to customize the beans’ exterior. There have already been official crossover skins based on several Valve video games, and now Yoko Taro, the creator of NieR: Automata, is expressing interest in making his own version of a Fall Guys playable character. While players have started dreaming of a supposed 2Bean skin, there are many other options for Fall Guys developers to consider. At the very least, there could be an Emil costume or an atmospheric machine lifeform makeover, as suggested by Taro, himself. Fans are already sharing their own visions on the matter, which isn’t surprising considering that even Disney characters have been reimagined as Fall Guys beans.

Character design in Fall Guys might very well be one of the key reasons for the game’s huge success. As revealed by the development team, early concepts of playable gummy dummies were much scarier than the final result and definitely less friendly-looking. Interestingly, the idea of having adorable beans as the game’s mascots paid off for the British studio Mediatonic as some devoted fan decided to play Fall Guys using literal jelly beans instead of a regular controller. Not only it was a stupidly hilarious idea that surprisingly led to the streamer’s victory, but it also served as an exemplary act of a brilliant yet completely unintended advertisement.

Considering the already existing amount of various crossover skins in Fall Guys, there’s a really good chance that players might eventually witness a collaboration with NieR: Automata. But while fans are eager to see if the demand transforms into an actual result, it is worth noting that Fall Guys devs have already denied a possible crossover with Monsters Inc. However, disturbingly reimagined Mike Wazowski was just a playful fan request whilst the idea of bringing a taste of NieR: Automata into Fall Guys is being seriously promoted by the developers behind the popular action title. In other words, there’s a high probability of success.
