Fall Guys fans have been producing crossover costumes for all of their favorite franchises, but the devs don't want anything to do with one specific nightmare of a Monsters Inc. crossover. The Fall Guys Twitter account has been retweeting numerous fan-made skins daily and has even been soliciting crossovers from other games.

The craze for crossover costumes began when the game launched with not one, but two crossover skins. They were both characters from the Half-Life series, but it was incentive enough for scores of fans to whip out a pen and draw their favorite franchise reimagined as a jelly bean for the mega-hit video game. Companies such as KFC and Chuck E. Cheese joined the sensation, soliciting Fall Guys for costumes of their own. The need for a skin to make it into Fall Guys became so great that a bidding war for charity ensued, with the winner getting its brand memorialized in a custom skin added to to the game.

However, there is one crossover submitted by a fan that Fall Guys was quick to dismiss entirely. Twitter user GeorgeClothier tweeted an image of Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc., but with his singular iris and pupil replaced with the Fall Guys' iconic dual black eyes. Needless to say, the design was horrifying to behold, and Fall Guys wanted nothing to do with it. The game's official Twitter account retweeted the design and replied with Wazowski's famous line, "Put that thing back where it came from, or so help me."

While the fan-made design may have been too disturbing for Fall Guys, the game's developers have hinted at something more sinister behind the faceplate of the jelly beans on its Twitter account, but it's hard to know how much of that to take seriously. In any case, GeorgeClothier was not the first fan to reimagine the bean mascots as horrifying creatures. There is something about those beans that make it hard to believe they are completely innocent.

Regardless of whether the beans are actually eldritch horrors disguised as cute pieces of candy, Fall Guys' response to this horrifying tweet all but confirms that the game won't be getting any Monsters Inc. crossovers. Or, at least, Mike Wazowski is off the table. A James P. Sulivan costume would be pretty cute, and fans would be hard-pressed to find a way to make that look creepy. But maybe the devs will reveal the Fall Guys' darker secrets and open a doorway for nightmare-fuel crossovers like Michael "Fall Guys" Wazowski after all.
