Fall Guys was recently faced with an internet troll, and the game's senior community manager decided to turn the encounter into a learning opportunity. Fall Guys has quickly grown to be one of the biggest games of the past month, as well as the most downloaded PlayStation Plus game of all time, so it isn’t surprising that its humongous and continually-growing community has its fair share of internet trolls and even cheaters.

The game’s PC version has been especially fraught with cheaters and hackers, and developer Mediatonic is taking steps to deal with them. Facing down a large number of cheaters in the game, Mediatonic is now deploying the same anti-cheat system as Fortnite. Some of the most common hacks that players have encountered in Fall Guys include speed hacks that make the characters move faster than normal and flying hacks that help them avoid the game’s obstacles altogether.

Fall Guys senior community manager OliverAge24 shared a set of photos on Twitter that showed a follower of the official Fall Guys Twitter account reply to one of the account’s Tweets with the phrase “dead game,” a common phrase used by people to mock or troll video games that have supposedly gone past their prime or have seen a sharp drop in players. In response, the troll was then deservingly blocked by the official Fall Guys account. Somewhat surprisingly, the troll then replied to one of OliverAge24’s Tweets asking the Fall Guys community manager to unblock them. Rather than just ignore the Tweet as many may have, OliverAge24 instead decided to teach the troll a lesson by asking them to write “Fall Guys is not actually a dead game and I like to see their tweets” a total of 24 times on a piece of paper before he would unblock them. Surprisingly, the troll actually ended up complying to the senior community manager’s condition, which led to OliverAge24 to unblock them.

Fall Guys' community manager's response illustrates one of the reasons why the game stands out in the crowded multiplayer landscape. Aside from the obvious - it's just a very fun game to play - its developer doesn't seem to take itself too seriously and its community manager is an expert at keeping things light while still keeping players safe and informed. On the other hand, the Fall Guys official Twitter account does enjoy its fair share of trolling, as it previously poked fun at a popular Twitch streamer who had a hard time winning in the game.

The way the Fall Guys senior community manager handled the situation is both amusing and commendable at the same time. Many trolls on the internet are just kids who don’t know any better, so being able to give them a light-hearted learning experience by teaching them that their have consequences is a good way to push back against the troublesome behavior.
