Fall Guys will feature an unlockable costume styled after the game's own community director, much to his own surprise. The game's second season launches today, bringing with it several new medieval themed costumes and obstacle courses. It will also be changing up the game by introducing new cosmetic banners and player nicknames, as well as making it easier for players to unlock crowns.

The charming, bouncy battle royale owes a lot to its community director, Oliver Hindle. He has engaged with the player community in a myriad of wonderful ways through the official Fall Guys Twitter account. In addition to keeping fans updated about new changes and additions coming to the game, this account has dropped some surprising and at times even unsettling news about the nature of the game itself. For instance, the account recently posted a truly disturbing picture of the anatomy of the game's adorable jelly beans. According to the community director, this information is entirely canon.

But despite this frightful piece of information, the community director's influence on the game has been almost entirely positive, and to that end, his efforts are being recognized in the game in a big way. Oliver Hindle posted a shocking discovery to his personal Twitter page earlier today; a skin is being added to the game in his own likeness. The skin, named Poet in the game's files, confounded Hindle for a while throughout development, and as he chronicled in the post, almost every developer he asked about it remained evasive. Finally a recent Twitter leak gave Hindle his first look at the skin which was, to his surprise, modeled after himself, complete with long hair, beard, and a Fall Guys t-shirt.

The Fall Guys developers surprising their community director with a skin in his likeness is a very charming idea. One almost regrets that a leak gave away the reveal; the developers probably wanted to keep him in the dark until the skin went live in-game. These leaks have been quite relentless ever since the new season went live; some dataminers have even discovered a Sonic the Hedgehog skin. While leaks like these are always exciting for consumers, they can often get in the way of special reveals like this, either for the benefit of the player base or the community manager.

Leak or no leak, this is a very heartwarming inclusion and a delightful way to kick off a brand new season of Fall Guys content. While the game's popularity may have slipped a bit, especially with the advent of similar multiplayer game Among UsFall Guys remains a delightful experience, and inclusions like the Oliver Hindle skin prove that those involved have an unending amount of love for their bouncy bean game.
