The popularity of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has caught the attention of one of gaming's more bizarre entities in KFC Gaming, and the latter has offered up a design for a special Fall Guys Colonel Sanders outfit that needs to be seen to be believed. Fall Guys is the smash-hit indie battle royale title that has taken the summer by storm, with a release only a week ago that has already accumulated millions of players and absurd concurrent player numbers on Steam.

KFC's entry into the gaming space has been no less explosive, though it's been far stranger, too. KFC Gaming has produced the bizarre Colonel Sanders dating sim that, while ultimately lacking the depth many visual novels need to thrive, was nevertheless a suitable entry into the genre with some genuinely deft touches in terms of character design and storytelling. KFC Gaming also unveiled the KFConsole, the company's next-gen console shaped like a bucket of chicken that is definitely not happening but capitalized on some timely marketing to enter the discussion many consumers were having in mid-June.

Once again demonstrating the brand's knack for timeliness, the KFC Gaming Twitter hit up Fall Guys' official account on the same website with a delightful proposition: a Fall Guys Colonel Sanders outfit. It wasn't just a pitch without any substance, either. The KFC Gaming Twitter already had a full mock-up of what the design and Fall Guys partnership could look like, right down to the Colonel's iconic facial hair and glasses being included in adorable - or, some would say, terrifying - form. The Fall Guys Twitter also replied, though it's up in the air on whether or not it was a positive one:

KFC Gaming replied with an inquiry on how many retweets it would take for the crossover to happen, a nod to the popular Twitter trend that sees brands acquiesce to specific fan demands if that request is supported by a certain number of retweets. Truthfully, for an indie studio like developer Mediatonic, the company behind Fall Guys, a partnership with a brand as huge as KFC is probably a no-brainer, but it will be interesting to see how the situation teases out - and if it ends with them getting some free chicken:

If the success of Fall Guys isn't just a quick summer fad, KFC won't be the only brand scrambling to get a piece of the action. Fall Guys' ascension into one of the most talked about multiplayer titles in August has been nothing short of spectacular, and even an influx of Fall Guys cheaters using hacking tools to try to gain an edge has done little to slow the title down. If a Fall Guys Colonel Sanders costume is added, it will only be a matter of time before more crossovers join the fray.
