Through a terrifyingly realistic piece of concept art, Fall Guys developer Mediatonic officially revealed the game's bean characters' actual size and anatomy. Despite that unsettling revelation, the game’s mascots continue being among the most adorable playable characters in the industry.

Fall Guys’ beans are just one of the reasons why the game is so popular worldwide. It took the title mere days to reach the status of the most downloaded PS Plus game ever. Interestingly, the characters could’ve looked completely different if only the developers had decided to stick to the initial design ideas. The final result, however, turned out to be absolutely charming, with players modding the now-famous beans into their favorite games.

Despite the beans’ disarmingly friendly appearance, some fans have been speculating on the Fall Guys characters’ internal organization. The developer decided to put an end to all the bizarre assumptions by sharing an official look at the beans’ anatomy and real size compared to a human - and the revelation posted on Twitter is horrifying, to say the least. The official artwork by Fall Guys’ senior concept artist Tudor Morris is a source of nightmares. Apparently, there’s a disfigured, hideously transformed human skeleton inside the lovely looking bean characters. Perhaps the creepiest part of this is the way the eyes are attached to the skull. As if that wasn’t already enough to make players faint, the beans’ anatomy actually includes normally looking human jaws that are hidden deep inside the characters’ heads for some reason. Judging by the comment section, players seem to hate the knowledge imparted by the concept art and wish they never saw it in the first place. Sometimes, ignorance is bliss.

As a hugely popular title, Fall Guys doesn’t seem to be resting on its laurels. Mediatonic is already planning to release tons of new content with the upcoming Season 2, which will feature a Medieval setting complete with new costumes and twists on levels. According to a sneak peek, the seasonal update will introduce new game mechanics, brand new courses and arenas, and a plethora of customization options for players to compete in creativity. Thatt doesn’t mean that the game will suffer from a content draft until Season 2 starts, though, as justlast week, Fall Guys was treated with a mid-season update focused on improving the play experience.

It’s not quite clear why the Fall Guys team decided to share this abomination with the community, making the beans' deeply unpleasant anatomy official. It might be a case of a twisted sense of humor, although the image of the beans’ inner structure could very well leave some kids traumatized. Jokes aside, it does look disgusting, and it’s hardly the kind of thing players were likely imagining when they started questioning what the beans are made of. It can’t be unseen, but hopefully, there won’t be similar reveals in the future.
