The Falcon & The Winter Soldier Super Bowl trailer sets a new online viewership record for a streaming series. The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, which will premiere in March, is the second MCU series that Disney+ is set to release. After Avengers: Endgame, the MCU has taken a gap in production and fans have been thrilled to finally have some new MCU content, beginning with WandaVision.

The Falcon & The Winter Soldier is starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan and will focus on their characters that audiences have grown to love and enjoy throughout the past decade. This show is set to expand on the dynamic between the two and is expected to be more action-based than WandaVision, which is currently airing on a weekly schedule on Disney+. Very few plot details have been released about The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, as per standard Marvel practice, so fans have been growing in excitement and have been eager to see some footage.

According to a Deadline report, the Super Bowl trailer for The Falcon & The Winter Soldier smashed online viewing records. Reportedly, the series trailer got 125 million views in the first 24 hours after its release. The viewings come both from the Super Bowl spot and trailer traffic combined. Not only is this an insane amount of traffic for any streaming platform series trailer, it sets a new record: last year's Black Widow Super Bowl trailer got 119 million views and WandaVision's trailer, which was released during the Primetime Emmy Awards, got 53 million views. WandaVision was the old record holder of trailer views for a streaming series.

Further, The Falcon & The Winter Soldier's trailer received more views in its first 24 hours than the trailer of Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, which had 111 million views. The Falcon & The Winter Soldier was also very talked about on social media, with 217,000 mentions and gathered more Google Search volume than any other entertainment offering. The series was also the fifth most searched for Super Bowl spot.

The Falcon & The Winter Soldier trailer was met with fan and critical appeal. It's action packed, ambiguous, and wonderfully presents the dynamic between the two characters that fans are eager to see again and explore further. The trailer is also highlights the return of Zemo, an infamous Captain America villain first introduced in Captain America: Civil War, as well as briefly showcasing the villain Flag-Smasher. Little has been revealed about the story, but audiences can also expect introductions to new MCU locations, such the futuristic Asian city Madripoor.

Some have speculated ways that WandaVision could tie into The Falcon & The Winter Soldier. It's possible that what Scarlet Witch does in that series could somehow relate to the return of Zemo. Or perhaps, events might tie in on an even bigger scale - if Wanda does introduce the MCU multiverse in WandaVision, it's possible that Falcon and The Winter Soldier will deal with events following that. But for now, all to do is theorize and hope for a great series.
