Ahead of its debut next month, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier get new Twitter emojis showing off their updated costumes. Once upon a time, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was set to be the first MCU series to premiere on Disney+. It was originally planned for August of last year, but production delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic forced Marvel to push it back. Now, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will premiere on March 19, two weeks after WandaVision wraps up its run. It will be the second project from Phase 4 to drop.

Starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan as their MCU characters, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will see Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes team up for a new adventure following the events of Avengers: Endgame. That film left off with Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) passing off the Captain America shield to Sam, and many expected The Falcon and the Winter Soldier to focus on his transition into the role. However, Sam will face some pushback from the United States government, and Mackie recently hinted he might not actually become Captain America by the end.

As The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is getting closer and closer, promotional efforts are beginning to ramp up. Sam and Bucky have officially received new Twitter emojis, which fans can access by using a hashtag for either of their names. This includes codenames the Falcon and the Winter Soldier, as noted by Nerdist on social media. Plus, both are wearing their new costumes from the series. Scroll on to see them in action.

This comes on the heels of WandaVision fan favorites Jimmy Woo, Darcy Lewis, and Monica Rambeau getting their own emojis. It's become standard practice for major films and television shows to attach emojis to their hashtags, and it's fun to see Sam and Bucky join in on the tradition. Expect to see a lot more of these two as The Falcon and the Winter Soldier nears. Additionally, other characters from the series could get their own little icons, like Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) and Baron Zemo (Daniel Brühl).

The emojis debuted not long before the latest Falcon and the Winter Soldier trailer premiered with the Super Bowl. It revealed more about the plot, which looks to include a Zemo back on his mission to get rid of superheroes. Additionally, it featured plenty of the banter between Sam and Bucky that fans have come to love from the two. With every bit of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier that gets revealed, it gets more and more exciting. It all kicks off next month.
