New set photos from The Falcon and the Winter Solder tease the return of Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) alongside the leading duo. As the Marvel Cinematic Universe enters Phase 4, Marvel Studios is expanding the story to the small screen like never before. Thanks to Disney+, Kevin Feige and his Marvel Studios team are producing multiple mini-series that will focus on characters who haven't been put in the spotlight before or introduce those that will be important in the years to come.

The first show out of the gate is The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which sees Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan star as Sam Wilson/Falcon and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier respectively. They are not the only familiar faces MCU fans will see in the show though, as Baron Zemo (Daniel Brühl) makes his return after Captain America: Civil War and will properly suit up this time. Additionally, the series will show the next part of Sharon Carter's story. For all of them, a world without Steve Rogers should have a profound impact on their lives, and they're all together in the latest set photos.

Production on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has been underway for several weeks, but details revealed through filming have been slim. Now, that is changing as director Kari Skogland moves production to less secure areas that have allowed some paparazzi photos to make their way online. The latest set photos shared by Just Jared feature Falcon and Bucky in the middle of an action sequence, with Zemo also part of the scene. But, these images also are the first sighting of VanCamp and help tease Sharon's involvement in the series. Check out a glimpse at the new The Falcon and the Winter Soldier photos below:

Sharon Carter has not been in an MCU movie ever since she became a likely fugitive for helping Steve, Sam, and Bucky in Captain America: Civil War. Unfortunately for her, the only update on her that has since been relayed is that she was also a snap victim. This means that the Sharon featured in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will be figuring out life after the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame when she crosses paths with Sam and Bucky again. Unfortunately, these photos don't provide us with too many new details on her involvement in the plot, but her being featured in a critical fight sequence alongside the leads and Zemo is a promising sign.

With The Falcon and the Winter Soldier still deep in production, hopefully future set photos can provide the details fans are itching for. To this point, there's been no sign of Sam in his new Falcon suit and Zemo in his purple mask has only been shown in a promotional video. We've also yet to see Wyatt Russell in the US Agent suit, and VanCamp does not appear to be in the suit that was previously featured in concept art. Clearly, there's a lot about The Falcon and the Winter Soldier that is still being protected by Marvel, and it may be a while before all is revealed with the tentative fall 2020 release date on Disney+.
