The series follows Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes as they navigate a post-Blip world and their lingering traumas.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier's first episode was all set-up, with Bucky and Sam's stories staying separate for the time being. "New World Order" spends time with Bucky as he searches for resolution from his time as a deadly assassin. The episode also dives deep into Sam Wilson's life and his relationship with his sister after he gives away Captain America's shield to the US government. Merchandise available on TMall shows a Sam Wilson action figure in a hybrid version of his Falcon get-up, but this time, the suit's colors are the red, white, and blue of Captain America's suit. The action figure also comes with a replica of Captain America's shield.

By now, fans have deduced that, at some point, Sam Wilson will properly take on Captain America's mantle. It may just take him a few weeks to get there. While it seems like John Walker will work with Bucky and Sam initially, his worldview will be significantly challenged by the events of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, putting him at odds with the titular pair. How this will all play out remains to be seen, but it certainly seems as if John Walker will be going down a dark path.

The action figure in question will likely be Sam Wilson's final form in the show, and fans may not get to spend too much time with him in this outfit.
