The teaser for episode 3 of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier reveals a new look at Baron Zemo in prison and hints at the action to come. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Marvel's second scripted Disney+ series, premiered just two weeks ago and has quickly become the talk of the internet. The series finds Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) working to find their places in a world irrevocably changed by the events of Avengers: Endgame. Both men are grappling with their own internal struggles, though the emergence of new threats unites them for their latest adventure.

Last Friday's episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier finally brought Sam and Bucky together after they spent episode 1 apart. The two investigated the mysterious group of freedom fighters known as the Flag-Smashers, whose goal is to revert society back to how it was after the Blip. A fight with the Flag-Smashers reveals the group to be made up of super soldiers. Desperate for answers, Bucky ends the episode by deciding to see Baron Zemo (Daniel Brühl), the villain from Captain America: Civil War who is currently in prison.

On Monday, Marvel Studios released a teaser for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode 3. Armed with the tantalizing message "Protect the legacy at all costs," the teaser reveals a piece of Zemo and Bucky's conversation. Interestingly, it just might hint the two are about to work together. Check it out below.

As Zemo tells Bucky, "Lucky for you, I know where to begin." For months now, there's been speculation that Zemo could actually aid Sam and Bucky in their mission, and the above teaser seemingly supports that. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier could very well see Zemo revert to his villainous ways (in fact, that seems likely), but a contentious alliance might be ahead first. Zemo is the one with Hydra's secrets, and he's currently Sam and Bucky's best lead in tracing the Flag-Smasher's use of the super solider serumThe Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode 3 will hopefully advance that mystery in a significant way.

Zemo has only been seen in Civil War so far, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has the opportunity to really dig into his character. His interaction with Bucky promises to be interesting, since the last time they crossed paths, Zemo was actively using Bucky's past against him. It seems likely he will continue to do so, which might complicate Bucky's recovery journey. The exact nature of their new dynamic will be revealed later this week, when the next episode of The Falcon and the Winter Solider debuts.
