The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's third episode is reportedly the series' longest entry yet. Marvel's second original series to debut on Disney+, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, came out of the gate strong, becoming the streamer's most-watched series premiere yet. Reception to the series has also been positive, praising the show's return to the MCU format that made the franchise successful. The show centers on two characters who had yet to get solo features of their own also provides new avenues to explore.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier's first episode, "New World Order," was primarily set up for the adventure to come. Last week's entry finally brought Bucky and Sam together as they pursued the Flag Smashers. It also put the titular pair up against the MCU's new Captain America, John Walker, played by Wyatt Russell. With only four episodes to go, it seems like Falcon and the Winter Soldier has a lot of ground to cover, and it looks like the third episode will fill in a lot of the gaps as the story kicks into high gear.

According to Reddit user u/Plenty_Echidna_545Falcon and the Winter Soldier's third episode will be 54 minutes long with credits included. The Redditor had previously accurately reported the runtimes for both the first and second episodes of the series. They also accurately reported several runtimes of various episodes of WandaVision.

On average, Falcon and the Winter Soldier's credits run about seven minutes long, meaning the third episode will run approximately 47 minutes long sans credits. This is four more minutes of footage than both the first episode and the second episode, and while that doesn't seem like a lot of extra time, those minutes can go a long way. The end of "The Star-Spangled Man" set up a few exciting plots for the third episode, including the long-awaited reintroduction of Daniel Brühl's Baron Zemo.

In addition to Zemo, it's possible that the third episode could see the return of Emily van Camp's Sharon Carter, who has been on the run since Captain America: Civil War. On top of all that, episode two ended with an ominous warning from John Walker to Bucky and Sam, telling them not to get in his way in their pursuit of the Flag Smashers. While it looks like their paths will diverge as Sam and Bucky look to Zemo for help, they're sure to run into each other again. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier look to set up John Walker as one of the series' main antagonists. While episode three probably won't see him go into full villain mode, it will likely continue to lay that groundwork for the weeks ahead.
