The Falcon and the Winter Soldier behind-the-scenes video reveals how Bucky's hilarious plane jump was filmed. Marvel Studios' ongoing Disney+ series kept its titular heroes separated for its premiere to establish their respective arcs. But that didn't last that long as they were eventually reunited the next episode.
Following the debut of John Walker as the new Captain America, Bucky sought out Sam to confront him about giving the shield to the government and passing up on the chance to be Steve Rogers' successor. However, with the threat of the mysterious group, Flag-Smashers, also looming, the pair had to set aside their differences and come together to track down Karli Morgenthau and her team, who were injected by a new version of the super-soldier serum. Despite their common goal, they continued to bicker, which resulted in some very funny moments as a way to balance what's an otherwise darker narrative for the MCU.
One of the most hilarious bits from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier thus far, was Bucky jumping off the plane following Sam as they tracked the Flag-Smashers. But since he underestimated how high the aircraft was, he ended up falling all the way to the ground. Now, the behind-the-scenes video of how the bit was filmed has been shared by Stan on Instagram. Check out the clip below:
Now, Sam and Bucky have eased into a comfortable working relationship. They're still long a way to go before they become real friends the way they were separately with Steve. However, as The Falcon and the Winter Soldier continues, expect their bond to be stronger than ever as they go through their collective mission. Based on the trailers released for the show, they will have some heart-to-heart conversations in the upcoming episodes. From there, they can come out of their Disney+ series more in sync with each other.
As for other elements in the show, the latest teaser released for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier hints at Walker's villainous turn. Assuming that this pans out, this would only make Sam and Bucky more motivated than ever to ensure that he no longer continues as Captain America. As seen in the show thus far, the pair has been very protective of the legacy Steve left, and Walker's nefarious actions while wielding the shield effectively taints that. Perhaps, this might even be the nudge Sam needs to finally have the courage to take on the superhero persona just as Steve intended.
