The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has given MCU fans a lot to process. From Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes’ stormy, but loveable friendship to the fate of Captain America’s shield, there’s plenty of drama to keep the viewers on their toes. However, it appears that Bucky’s haircut is something that’s got a lot of attention from the Internet.

Truth be told, Bucky had the most gorgeous mane in the whole franchise and his rocker-like cut is what made him stand out so spectacularly. Nevertheless, Twitter justifiably has a lot of feelings about Bucky’s cleaner, leaner haircut. Here are some of the most interesting reactions about Bucky’s makeover:

This Remarkably Thoughtful Fan

Bucky has always had long hair as an Avenger and it’s true that Captain America never got to see Bucky with his cool new hair. An MCU-lover imagines how Steve would have responded to his friend's haircut and how he would have probably made fun of him before he gave him an authentic compliment.

Also, Bucky’s new hair is not too different from Captain America’s haircut. This may have been totally involuntary but it could have just simply been the showrunners wanting Bucky to have a new look on the show, which is why they gave him a sharp crop.

This Very Plausible Reason

This Twitter user came up with a valid reason as to why he inexplicably appeared at the Wilson's house; he was clearly trying to be friendly and was looking to make a kind gesture. And though the show never goes into full details to explore Bucky’s mundane errands, this makes complete sense.

Bucky probably did ruin the cake because of he was speeding on his motorbike and since he stopped for a haircut, it’s very likely he also stopped to look for some cool sunglasses to make a great and iconic entrance.

That MCU Mane

Most fans of the MCU will agree that the men have become fashion icons of some sort with their hairstyles. If viewers take a closer look at Bucky, Endgame’s Steve Rogers, and Ragnarok’s Thor, they are all seen to share the same haircut. Even Star Lord’s hair is very similar.

The trend seems to have worked as this Twitter user has chalked out a plan to help their stylist attain the look by showing them an image of Bucky or Thor or maybe both. Either way, it can't not work.

What Would Bucky Do?

Let’s face it, a Bucky haircut scene would have helped the fandom out with some amazing perspectives about the rather introverted Winter Soldier. For instance, where does Bucky get his haircut, at a neighborhood barbershop or someplace upscale? How expensive is his style? Is he a nervous customer? Does he freak out when he sees the barber cut too much in the wrong place?

A haircut session does show the true side of anyone’s personality and it’s totally unfair that the showrunners wouldn’t consider at least one sequence for Bucky.

A Point Was Made

This Tweeter points out quite rightly that the guy in Madripoor who mocked Bucky’s hair was one of the bravest people on the show. Bucky has a formidable reputation as a super soldier and an assassin and though he is trying to work on himself and the darkest aspects of his personality, his enemies obviously don’t know that.

What’s funny is that the person who mocked his hair had clearly seen his earlier look as well, and found a way to let Bucky know that his new do just wasn’t cutting it.

Joey, Is That You?

Come to think of it, Bucky’s new hair does resemble Joey Tribbiani’s haircut. In this gif tweeted by a fan, Bucky looks like he’s just about to say, “How You Doing?” On a serious note, fans of the franchise have noted that people have very little idea about Bucky’s social side.

So when they see him bring out the charm for Sarah Wilson or even saying ‘Hi’ to a stranger it’s quite a detour from his killer aura.

Hot Take Alert

Some fans are understandably not over Bucky's long dark mane that had punk-y influences and also set him apart from the rest of the Avengers. This new do, although sleeker and more adaptable, does take away Bucky's 'bad boy charm.'

It also doesn't help that he looks a lot like his other crime-fighting colleagues at the moment, so this Twitter user has a lot of feelings over Bucky's makeover, since it’s definitely not as edgy as his last look and a lot safer.

The Fandoms Demands A Haircut Scene

Another Twitter user was smart enough to demonstrate how crucial Bucky’s hair is to his storyline and how much the show needed a haircut scene. Every good makeover movie has one and there’s no reason why Bucky can’t have a little Devil Wears Prada-style magic styling in his life. On a related note, many Twitter user have also commented on this thread that Bucky looks like he is about to dominate Soundcloud with the next big indie-folk single.
