The Falcon and the Winter Soldier trends on Twitter as fans debate over Bucky's (Sebastian Stan) arm. There was a lot going on during episode four, "The World is Watching," that got MCU fans talking long after the episode ended. One notable scene was the fight between the Dora Milaje, John Walker (Wyatt Russell), Lemar Hoskins (Cle Bennett), Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky. This fight occurred hours after Bucky realized that Ayo (Florence Kasumba) a member of the Dora Milaje, was following him, Sam and Zemo in Latvia at the end of episode three, "Power Broker."

Ayo understandably wanted to take Zemo into custody for the murder of King T'Chaka, and was angry at Bucky for freeing him. The two came to an agreement that Bucky had eight hours to utilize Zemo for his mission, but then the Dora Milaje would come to take Zemo when the time was up. Of course, an appearance by John Walker and Lemar Hoskins completely messed things up, resulting in a fight that ends with John Walker getting his butt kicked physically and proverbially, Ayo dismantling Bucky's arm, and Zemo getting away.

Actor and director Stephen Ford posted his personal take on the moment between Ayo and Bucky when she dismantles Bucky's arm with a few well-aimed jabs. Ford's take on that moment ignited a great Twitter debate that was trending for most of the day. Check out what Ford tweeted that ignited the great Twitter debate of the day below.

Of course there's nothing wrong with empathizing with Bucky's trauma. He's been through hell and back learning how to live again after being freed from being brainwashed by HYDRA and coming to terms with the fact that he was a terrifying assassin for decades. However, Bucky's trauma doesn't excuse his actions that resulted in Ayo being forced to literally disarm him. Ford argues that Bucky was undermined in the situation, but it really was quite the opposite. (And to be fair, Ford added another tweet saying he thought the Dora Milaje were justified in removing Bucky's arm, but he thought it was sad that Bucky still wasn't fully in control of his body.)

Bucky would not have been able to completely break free of his HYDRA brainwashing had it not been for the efforts and the kindness of some of Wakanda's most prominent residents. From Ayo being there for Bucky during the moment when he realizes the trigger words no longer set off the Winter Soldier, to King T'Challa (the late Chadwick Boseman) giving him a new metal arm made of Vibranium before the battle of Wakanda in Avengers: Infinity War as well as Princess Shuri's efforts to heal Bucky of HYDRA's mind control. Bucky undermined all of them by freeing Zemo and then by preventing Ayo and the other Dora Milaje members present in Latvia from completing their mission to capture King T'Chaka's killer.

What's great about The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is that even the heroes are willing to cross morally murky lines in order to achieve their goals. To echo what Bucky told Ayo, do the ends ever justify the means? Overall, it depends on who the ends ultimately benefit in the long-run.
