Marvel's The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has completed filming in Atlanta. The upcoming Disney+ series is the first original series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe created for the streaming service, but it won't be the last. Falcon and The Winter Soldier catches up with Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson and Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes following the events of Avengers: Endgame. That film saw Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) pass his shield on to Wilson, but the U.S. government doesn't appear to have recognized this, choosing instead to make U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russel) the successor to Captain America.

Falcon and The Winter Soldier has been filming in Atlanta since October of last year, but the production has now wrapped that portion of filming. This news comes via Instagram account, atlanta_filming, who posted that the Disney+'s series final day in Atlanta was Friday, February 14th (coincidentally, the same day Mackie and Stan shared their Valentine's Day tips). There is still more filming to come on the Marvel show, however, as the original plan was to move production to Puerto Rico for two weeks. That plan has since been scrapped, though, following the recent earthquakes to hit the island.

Atlanta is a very popular filming location and one that the MCU uses quite frequently. In fact, fellow Disney+ series WandaVision and Loki are currently both filming in the city. Just where the Falcon and The Winter Soldier production goes next is unclear, but it appears the show is nearing completion considering the bulk of its filming is now finished. Slated to premiere on Disney+ this fall, plot specifics remain unknown, but it should be sooner rather than later that a full trailer will be released.
