Ezra Miller wants the Injustice League to be the main villains in Justice League 2, should the studio move forward with another installment. Warner Bros. launched their unofficially titled DC Extended Universe in 2016 with Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice - a follow-up to Snyder's Superman movie, Man of Steel - and that movie's story will continue with the filmmaker's Justice League this month.

Justice League sees the world's finest heroes - Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) - take on the villainous Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons, who have returned to reclaim their lost Mother Boxes that were left behind in the New Gods' first war with Earth thousands of years prior. Considering that Justice League has two post-credits scenes, it will presumably set up another a sequel in addition to the movie already setting up future DCEU solo movies. And while comic book fans may be hoping to see the leader of Apokolips (and Steppenwolf's nephew?), Darkseid, take on the superhero team in the sequel, Miller has another idea in mind.

In an interview with the Toronto Sun, Miller said that, although he's being kept in the dark on Warner Bros.' future DCEU plans, he would like to see the Injustice League take on the newly-formed superhero team in Justice League 2 if they end up making another film together.

Injustice League of America comic

"The Injustice League. I think I can speak for everyone in the League when I say that we’re extremely excited by the prospect of continuing this journey. We don’t really know for sure, and we’re usually the last people to find out, but … each of the heroes in this movie has specific nemeses, and I think seeing some incarnation of the Injustice League (which includes Lex Luthor, Joker, Deathstroke and more) would be something that DC fans would be pretty stoked about."

Miller doesn't specify which version of the Injustice League he would like to see, but considering the direction the shared universe is taking, it's fair to say that he's not talking about the iteration in which the primordial being Agamemno recruits Lex Luthor and several other supervillains to his cause. Rather, Miller might simply be suggesting that the League take on all of their archenemies at once in Justice League 2, which is similar to recent versions of the Injustice League.

What's more, Gadot agreed with Miller, while also saying that she wants Wonder Woman to one-day fight Cheetah (who could also appear in Wonder Woman 2): "There’s so many good villains in the DC universe, but I would love to fight Cheetah. She’s a girl and that could be very interesting."

Justice League 2's script is currently being written. However, it might be some time before Warner Bros. reveals any details regarding the film, but if the first movie proves successful - both critically and commercially - then fans should expect another go-around in the future.
