Symbiote-loving Marvel fans are about to get a lot more of Carnage and Venom to enjoy. Extreme Carnage - a new symbiote-centric event from Marvel Comics - will be starting soon with the Life Foundation at the forefront. However, the foundation may be in some major trouble judging by new character redesigns revealed on social media.

The Life Foundation is the collective titlee for Venom's five children that were created by an organization of the same name. While this organization has not been present in Marvel Comics for some time, these symbiotes have been. This group includes Lasher, Agony, Riot, Phage, and Scream. These five began as an experimental security project with volunteers, but they've undergone quite a few changes over time - and they're about to undergo another.

On Twitter, David Nakayama shared new character designs for the Life Foundation symbiotes which will be featured as variant covers for the upcoming Extreme Carnage event. It will begin with Extreme Carnage Alpha #1 on July 7 and continue for the next few months. The Life Foundation redesigns included below provide some clues about what kind of trouble these symbiotes are going to get into. Check them out:

Each of these symbiote redesigns is labeled with the phrase "Carnage-Infested" and it is very easy to see why. Lasher, Agony, Phage, Riot, and Scream have all undergone some major color changes. Every symbiote now has red being incorporated into their body and the explanation for it is simple: Carnage is going after the Life Foundation. While symbiotes have been seen taking over heroes and standard humans before, it is very different to see one symbiote partially taking over another. However, after Marvel's previous symbiote-focused event King in Blacka lot of things involving symbiotes changed.

Leading up to King in Black, the majority of the symbiotes weren't as prevalent as characters like Venom and Carnage. Now, they're front and center and will seemingly remain that way for the full-length of Extreme Carnage. Of all the symbiote redesigns, Lasher and Riot look the most visually enhanced and impressive with this symbiote color shift. Scream looks great, too, but she has always had a bit of red in her symbiote form. Agony is undergoing the same change, but her purple coloration is already very close in tone to red, losing some of the visual contrast that the other symbiotes have. Phage is beginning to look more like Carnage, who he already resembles in some of his abilities.

Collectively, these designs are amazing and add a level of Carnage's inherent creepiness to each member of the Life Foundation. Carnage is going to be causing some major trouble and it seems like he's planning to drag Venom's offspring down to his level. Scream is usually the one fighting against her sibling and making her own way, but fans will have to wait until the event begins on July 7 to see what path she will choose to go down. Carnage is taking over and it will be interesting to see how Venom and other symbiotes try to fight his influence and avoid his path of destruction.
