Megan Fox shared a photo from the set of The Expendables 4 showing off her character's costume. The franchise began with The Expendables in 2010. The film was directed by Sylvester Stallone with the intent of uniting a lot of the biggest action movie stars of the '80s and '90s in a brand new film, showing that they may be getting older but they're not getting any less tough. The proceeding films continued to add more and more iconic actors to the mix, but there hasn't been a new film in the franchise since 2014.

After 7 years, The Expendables 4 is finally shooting, with an eye toward releasing in 2022. The film was written by Max D. Adams, John Joseph Connolly, and Spenser Cohen, and is being directed by Scott Waugh, a former stunt coordinator who helmed the 2014 Need for Speed film starring Aaron Paul. Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, and Randy Couture have all been confirmed to return reprising their roles, adding franchise newcomers Andy Garcia, 50 Cent, Tony Jaa, and Megan Fox. No other cast members have been confirmed as of yet, though fans can be certain they've got some cameos they're keeping close to the chest for the time being.

On her Instagram stories, Megan Fox shared a first look at her costume for the film. These behind-the-scenes photos from the set in London show off a black tactical outfit with boots that are made for stomping. The outfit is accessorized with a chunky chain necklace that accentuates her toughness. Check out the images below:

Details on Fox's character are not yet known. Given the way she's dressed the same way as the Expendables, she's presumably on the team with the faces fans already know and love. However, it's not outside the realm of possibility for Fox to play a villain in the new movie. She was recently cast as a crime boss in the Bonnie and Clyde reboot, Johnny & Clyde, so she's certainly shooting to show off her range.

Expendables 4 is bringing new blood to reinvigorate the franchise after so many years, and Fox certainly looks the part. It will be interesting to see if the franchise producers will set her and the other newbies up to carry on the franchise once the veterans exit. If the film does well in the box office, Fox's presence could also help resurrect the long dormant Expendabelles project, which was meant to unite classic female action stars but has not yet come to fruition.
