James Holden

A soldier by trade, Holden is a man of action but, also, of honor. At times, it appears he enjoys a lack of responsibility and has trouble following orders. Yet, that never stops him from doing what the situation demands.

He takes charge when he must, guiding people as a leader when there is no other alternative. As a soldier, Holden is a capable marksman with a proficient ability to use multiple firearms with ease. A warrior to his core, with a leader's mentality, he completes his mission or dies trying.

Amos Burton

Amos might not be top tier on the intelligence scale but he makes up for it with his real-world experience. He knows how to survive, unlike some that are smarter than him that perish in the abyss.

A master mechanic, Amos is skilled in fixing things, even when those things are not of a mechanical nature. He only believes in three types of people bad people, ones you follow and those you need to protect. Whether he considers himself someone to follow or a villain, fans can bet he doesn't need protection.

Bobbie Draper

Bobbie deep down has a good heart with a hero's mentality. Yet, when fans are first introduced to her, she seems unable to rise above nationalistic pettiness, believing those from the earth are beneath her Martian superiority. Bobbie has taken on many tasks from Gunnery Sergeant in the Martian Marine Corps to Avasarala's assistant.

She is capable and shown to have strong moral convictions. Bobbie is willing to do the right thing, even if the right things could mean devastation to her personal self. Resourceful by nature, she maneuvers across the political landscape with bravery as her guide.

Alex Kamal

During his time in the Martian Congressional Republic Navy, Kamal rose through the ranks with his expert piloting skills, flying attack gunships through enemy airspace.

Kamal felt like his tour wasn't over, even after he was given an honorable discharge. He devised a plan to work as a pilot for a living, working in the industrial navy in the Asteroid belt. His piloting background shows a high level of intelligence and decisiveness. Quick on his feet and quick to the draw, Kamal has found his place in the universe using his God-given piloting abilities.

Josephus Miller

Joe had the potential to be a great detective, but his heart just wasn't in it.  Believing the system to be corrupt, he became loyal only to himself. Joe found that he could straddle the fence when it comes to right and wrong, doing so, whenever he could.

Never one to turn down money, he was known to take payoffs from suspects as a means to get by. Only doing his job when he had to. Yet, in the end, he lived up to his potential, showing a level of intelligence, that he didn't even know he possessed.

Julie Mao

Julie Mao exhibited a high level of intelligence as a child, by teaching herself archery in one day. Growing up the child of a billionaire CEO, she was given whatever her heart desired and what that heart desired was to be a pilot.

Even at a young age, she showed an affinity in this profession, eventually owning her own ship and becoming a racer. Headstrong and idealistic, she rebelled against what she considered her father's corporate greed. She, instead chose a life away from her father making her own path and her own destiny.

Shed Garvey

While not a soldier, Shed proved himself to have stable hands during emergencies. His quick thinking saved lives while his expertise as a Med-Tech served the crew well. In one instance, he even saved Alex's life from asphyxia by giving her his air supply so she could survive, resulting in him having to be resuscitated back to life.

He was well-liked by anyone who knew him, with his laid-back disposition and his willingness to give illicit drugs to his fellow crew members. Even when situations appeared grim, Shed showed optimism to his last breath.

Sadavir Errinwright

Sadavir Errinwright is and forever will be a political beast. He is shown to be calculating when needed, understanding the deep complexities and divisions within not only his government but rival governments as well. His political skills eventually led him to be the second most powerful person on earth.

His ambition is sometimes greater than his abilities, causing him to have to rely on others to get specific missions accomplished. When all is said and done, his one and only mission are to secure the United Nation's place as the dominant power in the Sol system.

Chrisjen Avasarala

Like her rival Sadavir Errinwright, Chrisjen Avasarala is a naturally gifted government official. Raised to ascend to glory, Avasarala comes from a long line of aristocrats who have served in various forms in the political landscape on earth.

Her life has been wrought with tragedy due to her family's ongoing civic duty to protect their planet from foreign adversaries. Yet, even though, she has lost a father and son to the conflict, Avasarala's spirit never wavers and her resolve remains firm. Her strength is her intelligence as she can analyze and discern large quantities of information.

Naomi Nagata

A Belter by trade, Naomi grew up on various ships. She is gifted with an engineer's mind, capable of fixing anything in out outside of any kind of ship. Nagata's skill-sets do not stop with her being a mechanic, she has proven herself capable in being able to tight rope dangerous situations, improvising on the go when needed.

This self-educated Belter taught herself everything she knows and is an educational success story, holding various advanced degrees in multiple fields. Degrees mixed with a mechanic's mind helped her reach the position of Chief Engineer on the ship Canterbury.
