While The Bachelorette might be over, fans of the franchise never have to wait long for new content. In just a few days, the season premiere of the latest season of Bachelor in Paradise will be airing. This means that many of the fans favorite contestants will be back for even more drama. While The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have a more simple format, Bachelor in Paradise is perfect because it allows for multiple couples meaning viewers are more likely to have someone to root for.
With this upcoming season, we’ve put together a list of the things we want to see based on what we know about the season so far.
SEEING ALL OF THE PAST CONTESTANTS WHO WILL RETURN
One of the most exciting things of every season of Bachelor in Paradise is seeing returning contestants. This means fans are going to see people that they loved on their individual seasons as well as people that fans couldn’t stand. But, whether one loves certain people or love to hate them, fans will likely have a lot of feelings about what goes on. This season hosts a wide range of people from past seasons such as Bibiana, Caelynn from Colton’s season, and Blake from Becca’s season.
LEARNING POSSIBLE NEW DETAILS ABOUT HANNAH B. AND TYLER
One of the biggest questions amongst Bachelor Nation fans at the moment is whether or not Tyler and Hannah B. have actually been on that date. After the season finale concluded with Hannah breaking the engagement with Jed after learning he had lied to her and been dating someone else, Tyler and Hannah both seemed ready to date again. In fact, their body language towards each other prompted rumors that these two might already have seen each other since filming the show ended.
JOHN PAUL JONES
John Paul Jones might not have made it super far in Hannah’s season, but he quickly became a fan favorite. Many people can’t wait to see him on Bachelor in Paradise and are excited for more of his hilarious and sweet personality.
They are also hoping to see more of his love of chicken nuggets. John Paul Jones definitely made an impression on the fans including his reaction to the fake labor simulator he wore on a group date with Hannah.
SEEING IF CAM ACTS BETTER THIS TIME AROUND
There are a few different contestants from Hannah’s season that headed straight to paradise. This will provide some new people and fresh meat so to speak in this newest season. Along with John Paul Jones, Cam is also going to be there. Cam didn’t make a great impression on Hannah B.’s season. He was disrespectful of her and other contestants by monopolizing time and interrupting over and over. Plus, he tried to get a sympathy rose. It will be interesting to see how he acts in this new season.
CHRIS HARRISON’S USUAL SHADE
No season of any show in The Bachelor franchise would be complete without Chris Harrison. He has been doing the show for so long that he has become a favorite character in his own right.
He sometimes acts as emotional support to the contestants, but he has his shady side, too. His mix of supporting people while also being a bit over their antics at times is always fun to watch.
SEEING WHO MAKES JOHN PAUL JONES CRY
In the preview for Bachelor in Paradise, fans got to see some John Paul Jones content. First, we see him falling in love and getting pretty handsy. He seemed to be having the time of his life at first. But, we then see him crying. Many fans were not pleased about this and want to know what happened to make chill JPJ actually break down in tears. Fans can’t wait to learn the reasons.
CHRIS AND KRYSTAL'S WEDDING
Chris and Krystal found love on the previous season of Bachelor in Paradise. The preview teased a wedding between the two of them. This isn’t surprising as Bachelor in Paradise often brings back past couples who have found success for cameos, so a wedding on the show is par for the course.
If you are a fan of the couple or just a fan of the show, seeing this wedding is definitely something to look forward to.
THAT FIGHT ON THE BEACH
As with all seasons of The Bachelor and its spinoffs, there is going to be a lot of drama this season. This show is all about creating new drama to keep audiences watching. The preview also introduced a clip of a big fight that occurs between some of the men on the beach. This altercation seemed pretty serious, even more so than some of the small scuffles that have been seen in the past, and fans can’t wait to see what went down.
SEEING MIKE AGAIN
Many fans are hoping that Mike Johnson gets the chance to be The Bachelor. He was definitely a fan favorite on Hannah B.’s season and many fans couldn't understand why she let him go. While he is going to be on Bachelor in Paradise, if he doesn’t find love, there’s still a good chance he could be The Bachelor.
Either way, many people are looking forward to getting to see more of him and learn more about him.
DEMI AND THE FIRST QUEER STORYLINE ON THE SHOW
The biggest news and most exciting of this upcoming season is the inclusion of a queer love story. Demi Burnett, another fan fav, is shown in the preview making out with a woman and saying she is falling in love with her. She has also come out on Twitter as queer. This is a very exciting development as it’s the first time the franchise is including queer storylines, and it's also great that it seems to be an organic thing that developed. There also seems to be a dramatic love triangle happening in this season with Demi that audiences want to see unfold. Hopefully, there will be even more LGBT+ representation in coming seasons as it’s definitely time for this. Many fans are definitely excited and supportive that this is finally happening as it seems long overdue.
