The MTV series Ex On The Beach will be casting differently for season 6, adding couples and non-famous people, instead of single reality TV stars. Many viewers know the well-known MTV series for putting reality TV alums from various shows in a house together with their exes while trying to maintain a new relationship or rekindle an old relationship with an ex. The series has had five successful seasons, where singles were brought into a villa at the start of the season. However, that will all change when Ex On The Beach season 6 begins airing later this year.

Unlike seasons prior where the series had stars from reality TV series such as The Bachelor, Big Brother, and Vanderpump RulesEx On The Beach season 6 will include what they call "civilian couples." While Ex On The Beach season 5 was airing, several ads were shown, opening up casting for the upcoming season 6. For the first time in Ex On The Beach history, couples will be moving into the villa together, along with other people in relationships and their former partners.

According to Distractify, Ex On The Beach season 6 is looking for non-famous couples who have an ex-partner in their life who doesn't want to leave them alone. With non-famous couples now being cast for the upcoming season, this means fans won't see any reality TV stars a part of the cast; another first for the popular MTV show. The new season is very similar to Temptation Island, which features couples and singles who test their relationships. The difference is Ex On The Beach features their exes, not strangers.

With couples now being cast for the show, this could mean more drama on the show than ever before. Despite asking for civilian couples on the casting application, Ex On The Beach producers may reach out to reality TV alum if they feel they are the right fit for the season. However, viewers shouldn't get their hopes up because it seems likely that no reality TV alumni will be featured on Ex On The Beach season 6.

With Ex On The Beach being so popular among MTV viewers, this new season could change the number of viewers who tune in. If no reality TV alums appear on the show, who knows if any viewers will tune in every week to see the couples. Nonetheless, there is bound to be drama, so if Ex On The Beach viewers want to see that from the couples, then they will definitely be watching the new season when it airs. There has been no word about a release date on when the new season will film or air, but with season 5 wrapping up, it may be a while before viewers get to see a new season of Ex On The Beach.
