In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players can find and catch a Gligar and evolve it into Gliscor, but evolving Gligar in Legends: Arceus requires a slightly different method. In previous games, players could evolve Gligar into Gliscor by giving the Pokémon a Razor Fang to hold and level it up at night. Once a Gligar holding the Razor Fang leveled up at night, the Pokémon would immediately begin evolving into Gliscor. Since Pokémon in Legends: Arceus cannot hold any items, Gligar's evolution method has changed, and fortunately it has changed for the better.

While players can find and catch Gligar in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, as well as Gliscor, they'll need to evolve Gligar at least once in order to complete its research tasks in the Pokédex. Pokémon Legends: Arceus still requires players to use a Razor Fang to evolve Gligar, and the evolution still needs to take place at night. Luckily, finding a Razor Fang in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is easier now than it has ever been in a Pokémon game.

Unlike previous Pokémon games, players are not able to find items throughout the Hisui region hidden in the Poké Ball caches that could typically be found on the ground. Specifically for the Razor Fang, players have several options available to them in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The best way to get a guaranteed Razor Fang in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is by accumulating 1400 Merit Points and purchasing one from the Trading Post in Jubilife Village. This requires players to go out across the Hisui region to locate the satchels of other players who have blacked out, and then claim the rewards from the Lost and Found menu. Any returned satchel will earn players between 50 and 100 Merit Points, so it should take about 20 minutes or so to earn enough for a Razor Fang in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

How To Evolve Gligar With A Razor Fang In Legends: Arceus

Where To Find The Razor Fang in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Though there is a rare chance of finding a Razor Fang, the item may actually drop from a Gligar after players either catch or defeat one in battle. Since Gligar is found in abundance in the Coronet Highlands, and in some Alabaster Icelands locations, there are plenty of opportunities to get lucky enough for one to drop. Razor Fangs can also be found in Space-Time Distortions in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, but since all evolutionary items can be found in the distortions as well, finding a Razor Fang is incredibly rare. Additionally, a Razor Fang can also be available for sale in the Ginkgo Guild Shop for 10,000 Poké Dollars, though it's listed as a Mystery Fang instead.

Once a Razor Fang has been obtained, all players need to do is use the item on a Gligar at night as if it were an evolutionary stone. Gligar will immediately evolve into Gliscor, allowing players to complete that section of Gligar research in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
