Paramount+ unveils the first Evil season 3 trailer confirming that the horror show will return in June and teasing the terror to come. Created by The Good Wife duo Robert and Michelle King, the series centers on Dr. Kristen Bouchard, a forensic psychologist who works with former journalist David Acosta and technology contractor Ben Shakir in their investigations of potentially supernatural events. Though sharing the same skepticism of Shakir for their investigations, Bouchard finds her beliefs tested as she and her family begin to experience terrifying hauntings in their own home and lives.

Katja Herbers leads the cast of Evil as Bouchard alongside Mike Colter as Acosta, Aasif Mandvi as Shakir, Michael Emerson, Kurt Fuller, Marti Matulis, Brooklyn Shuck, Christine Lahti, Skylar Gray and Dalya Knapp. Originally airing as a CBS series before moving to Paramount+, the show has received critical acclaim in its first two seasons for the performances from its cast, its sharp writing and its effective scares. Thanks to its continued success, the streaming platform greenlit Evil season 3 within a couple weeks of season 2's premiere and now audiences are getting their first glimpse at the show's return.

The Evil season 3 trailer may not reveal much of what's to come from the story itself but does feature plenty of exciting teases of the newest terrors the creators have cooked up. From the iconic genre moment of a toilet overflowing with blood to Colter's David's late-night interaction with a succubus taking on the form of Herbers' Kristen, the show looks to be delivering plenty more scares with its next chapter. With the Evil season 2 finale showing David and Kristen sharing a kiss, something fans had long waited to see though goes against his journey to become a Catholic priest, the succubus appearing as Kristen is sure to create some chaos for the conflicted protagonist.

That being said, the Evil season 3 trailer still points towards his efforts to become a Catholic priest continuing in proper fashion as a brief shot sees David presiding over a church service. Though no episode count has been confirmed for the new season, should it keep with the 13-episode plan of the previous seasons, the show's premiere date could see it conclude around Halloween, making for a fun treat for horror fans. The wait is nearly over as Evil season 3 is set to premiere on June 12.
