Will George be in Evil season 2? The comedic and simultaneously terrifying demon has haunted the dreams of forensic psychologist Kristen Bouchard since season 1. However, George’s role in season 2 has changed in a major way, shifting to the role of preview narrator. It’s an interesting twist, but where does it leave George and how does it impact his onscreen presence in season 2?

For a demon-like figure, George is a rather unusual character when compared with other supernatural entities. First introduced in season 1 of Evil, George solely appeared in Kristen’s night terrors. He would crawl up her bed, terrify and mock her, sometimes threatening her or her family. Despite his demon status, George was rather conversational and almost friendly-sounding, which is a big part of what makes his presence so disconcerting as he operates outside the norm of assumption. However, while George was a prominent figure in season 1, he has yet to appear in any of Evil’s season 2 episodes. Rather, he’s pivoted to narrating the previews for what’s to come in the story, teasing the audience and threatening to haunt their dreams as well.

There hasn’t been any news regarding George and his role in Evil season 2. Considering he hasn’t shown up to terrorize Kristen’s dreams in a while, it’s doubtful the demon will physically appear anytime soon and there hasn't been any confirmation that he will. He might remain as the narrator, which allows him to break the fourth wall by talking directly to the audience and conjuring up some tension and intensity regarding future events. As a demon, this role, strangely enough, works for George; he’s become somewhat of an outsider looking in, but one who knows all and is purposefully withholding information. In addition to that, it’s just fun to hear George's voice after each episode in Evil season 2 because it makes the wait for the next episode all the more exciting.

Evil George

Of course, George could still show up as his narration teases he is friends with Leland Townsend — that could be hinting at something involving what the man's been up to this whole time. For now, George seems to have abandoned Kristen altogether in season 2. She has been having hallucinations of an ifrit, a demon of Islamic origin, ghosts, and more after killing Orson LeRoux. Her mind has been busy conjuring up a variation of entities without having to rely solely on George, who was more of a gateway into the supernatural world Kristen has become so very entrenched in. Now that Kristen has graduated to other types of mythological creatures, bringing George back might be a step backwards. That said, it’s always possible George could return nearer to the end of Evil season 2, perhaps once David and Ben discover what Kristen did to LeRoux.

Interestingly, Evil has taken the idea of George and shifted the focus to Ben and his demon, Abbey. Like George, Abbey began appearing to Ben during his night terrors, speaking to him in a conversational manner. It could be Abbey has replaced George for now. After all, keeping him around for too long would have gotten redundant. With a new demon being introduced in Evil season 2 and George moving on to become the narrator, it maintains his attachment to the series in a unique way that keeps the audience guessing as to what comes next.
