Zach Shallcross is Bachelor Nation's latest obsession as the lead of The Bachelor season 27, and now that the anticipated season has finally kicked off, there's a lot to know about the man ready to settle down on national television. Zach was initially introduced to the ABC franchise during The Bachelorette season 19, which premiered in July 2022 with Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey as the series' first co-hosts. It didn't take long for Zach and Rachel to form a connection, but while Zach made it to Rachel's top three, he ultimately walked away after Rachel questioned his age and level of commitment.

Despite the unexpected turn of events, Zach was granted another opportunity to find love after he was chosen to lead The Bachelor season 27. Zach was announced as the newest bachelor in September 2022 at The Bachelorette season 19 finale, where he met five women, Brianna Brown, Brianna Thorbourne, Brooklyn Willie, Cat Wong, and Nashville single mom Christina Mandrell, on After The Final Rose. Although some contestants like Greer Blitzer have already faced controversy, it will be exciting to see Zach's journey toward love and how he fares the second time around.

Zach Shallcross' Early Life

Zach, who turns 27 in July 2023, grew up in Anaheim Hills, California, although he currently resides in Austin, Texas. Born to parents Chapman and Megan Shallcross, Zach has two sisters named Sammy and Payton, although the most recognized member of his family is his uncle, actor Patrick Warburton. Per Zach's LinkedIn, the Bachelor Nation star enrolled at the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo in 2014, where he graduated in 2019 with a degree in Business Administration like Bachelor season 27 suitor Gabi Elnicki.

Zach Shallcross' Career

Although Zach is known for his attempts to find love on television, he initially found some success as a college football player. While a student at Cal Poly, Zach played for the Cal Poly Mustangs as a right tackle, although he missed several games in 2017 due to an injury. After graduation, Zach moved to Austin to work for Oracle as a technology executive. Zach was promoted to a senior position in September 2021 and has, if his LinkedIn remains accurate, continued to hold the position in between his stints on The Bachelorette and The Bachelor. When Zach isn't at his day job or with ABC, The Bachelor fans can find Zach at charity events with his family, especially for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Zach Shallcross' Instagram

While Zach doesn't have the biggest social media presence, anyone watching his journey on The Bachelor season 27 can find Zach on Instagram. Although Zach has started to promote his latest appearance on ABC, his Instagram is generally left unused, with the bulk of Zach's posts uploaded before he was introduced on The Bachelorette. That being said, Zach's Instagram is full of photos that show how much he loves his family, friends, and football. Hopefully, Zach will be able to find someone who feels just as strongly for him by the time Zach's season of The Bachelor concludes.
