According to Deadline, The Traitors takes place in a remote castle in the Scottish Highlands. During the 10-episode series, celebrities and civilians will participate in a series of challenges. The objective is to earn a cash prize of up to $250,000. The twist is that three of the contestants, known as "the traitors," will devise a plan to steal the prize from the rest of the contestants, who are called, "the faithful." In addition, Us Weekly reports that Peacock calls The Traitors a, "psychological adventure in which treachery and deceit are the name of the game." The network also said that The Traitors is, "a game chock-full of alliances, deception and even 'murder.'"

Who Is The Host Of The Traitors?

Deadline reveals that The Traitors is hosted by award-winning stage and screen actor Alan Cumming. Corie Henson, the EVP of Entertainment Unscripted Content at NBCUniversal, said in a press release, "Studio Lambert has truly captured lightning in a bottle with our latest competition series The Traitors. We can’t wait for Peacock audiences to experience and play along in this epic game of manipulation and deceit, all while the iconic Alan Cumming pulls the strings of our incredible cast to create the ultimate 'whodunit.'" Stephen Lambert, who is the CEO of Studio Lambert, also praised Alan as host, saying, "In a game of secrecy, suspicion and plot twists in a Scottish castle, who better to take the helm and guide our game players through the drama and challenging missions than Alan who originally comes from Scotland."

Which Celebrities Will Appear On The Traitors?

The Traitors stars ten celebrities, most of whom have appeared on other reality television shows. They include Big Brother winners Cody Calafiore and Rachel Reilly, and Survivor players Cirie Fields and Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick, who was the runner-up of Survivor: Guatemala. The cast will also feature Bachelor Nation star Arie Luyendyk Jr., Brandi Glanville (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), Kate Chastain (Below Deck), Kyle Cooke (Summer House), and Reza Farahan (Shahs of Sunset). They include Christian De La Torre (a veteran and van life influencer from Los Angeles), Michael Davidson (a DMV Office Manager from Oneida, KY); Andie Thurmond (a director of music services, from Reno, NV), Quentin Jiles (a political analyst from Houston), and Shelbe Rodriguez (a public affairs manager from Beaumont, TX). Also joining the cast of The Traitors are Geraldine Moreno (an actress from North Hollywood), Robert "Bam" Nieves (a tech sales executive from Rye, NY), Anjelica Conti (a hair stylist from Staten Island, NY), Azra Valani (a yoga instructor from Los Angeles), and Amanda Clark (an emergency room nurse from Carlisle, PA).
