Everything Everywhere All At Once has officially broken a box office record and now stands as A24's highest-grossing film domestically. Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, collectively known as Daniels, Everything Everywhere All At Once tells the story of Laundromat owner Evelyn Wang (Michelle Yeoh), an unlikely hero who must do battle with the weird and wild threats of the multiverse in order to save the universe. Everything Everywhere All At Once has proven exceptionally popular with critics and fans, with many praising the film's action, humor, and heart.

Everything Everywhere All At Once is distributed by A24, a studio known for unique, smaller-budget films. The studio's previous films include The Green Knight, Hereditary, Uncut Gems, Midsommar, The Lighthouse, and Lady Bird, among many others. Everything Everywhere All At Once was reportedly made for a budget of only $25 million, which, considering the film's impressive visuals and intricate fight scenes, is a remarkable achievement. Everything Everywhere All At Once already represents a significant outlier for the studio with the film's week-after-week box office numbers, seeing minimal drops compared to other theatrical films.

Now, a new tweet from Erik Davis confirms that Everything Everywhere All At Once has become A24's highest-grossing film domestically with over $52.2 million earned at the box office. The previous record-holder was 2019's Uncut Gems, which earned $50 million domestically. Everything Everywhere All At Once still has a ways to go to become A24's highest-grossing movie internationally, however, with Hereditary currently holding that record with $80.2 million. While a $50.2 million domestic box office haul pales in comparison to the numbers that MCU projects like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness generate, it is impressive for a movie of its genre and budget. The film has evidently struck a chord with general audiences and word-of-mouth has been strong enough to sustain consistently high box office numbers since its release. Although Everything Everywhere All At Once is now A24's highest-grossing movie domestically, it still has a long way to go before it can dethrone Hereditary.

Everything Everywhere All At Once contains themes that resonate with universal audiences and features a standout performance from Yeoh and her co-stars. The film has evidently proven popular with audiences and it seems likely that the film's strong box office performance will continue in the coming weeks. While it remains to be seen whether the impressive Everything Everywhere All At Once will break any more records for A24 in terms of worldwide box office revenue, holding the top spot as A24's highest-grossing domestic film is no small feat.
