It is hard to believe that Dancing with the Stars has been on the air since 2005. In the show's twenty-five years, it has given fans twenty-eight seasons of winners, tons of dazzling dance professionals, and a lot of inspirational stories.
Fans are still tuning in to see who wins this year, but until then, enjoy a ranking of every celebrity winner in the show's history.
Adam Rippon (Season 26)
Olympic skater and pop culture expert Adam Rippon is known for his style, but his finale with Jenna Johnson is not the runaway favorite. The team's avant-garde fusion freestyle garnered mixed reviews from the judges but still won the game.
Drew Lachey (Season 2)
Jessica Simpson's former brother-in-law took it home with the help of his partner, Cheryl Burke. Burke and her 98 Degrees star are remembered for their sexy dance to "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)" as well as their final, more tame, cha-cha. Lachey did well but wasn't the most coordinated of contestants.
Donald Driver (Season 14)
Donald Driver led the Green Bay Packers to Super Bowl victory, but Peta Murgatroyd helped him hone his dancing skills. Driver had a blast on the dance floor and did very well.
Bobby Bones (Season 27)
American Idol mentor and radio personality Bobby Bones won his season with Sharna Burgess. It was the couple's second dance using the music of The Greatest Showman. They did a great job, and Sharna was thrilled to have her first win.
Kelly Monaco (Season 1)
In the first season of DWTS, this General Hospital star won with Alec Mazo. Kelly did a beautiful job and looked gorgeous in her Dirty Dancing number, although it flew by.
Hines Ward (Season 12)
Hines Ward won with the lovely Kym Johnson. The football coach, Superbowl MVP, and former wide receiver found his stride with strength, progressing over the season and revealing just by his smile that he was having tons of fun.
Kellie Pickler (Season 16)
The country singer soared to fame after American Idol and found her skills in ballroom dance with Derek Hough. Kellie and Derek got rave reviews from the judges and were the darlings of the season.
Emmitt Smith (Season 3)
This former Dallas Cowboys running back beat out Mario Lopez with Cheryl Burke. Emmitt showed great improvement in his simple samba, and it's always good to see football players master the art of ballroom dance.
Brooke Burke (Season 7)
This actress was the perfect match for Derek Hough. It is fun to remember her time competing on the series, considering that she went on to host DWTS from seasons ten to seventeen.
Rashad Jennings (Season 24)
Rashad Jennings played football for the Oakland Raiders and the New York Giants. He won his season with Emma Slater after the duo danced a fun cha-cha tango fusion.
Rashad showed his charming personality, and fans were excited to see him win.
Meryl Davis (Season 18)
Olympic ice dancing champion Meryl Davis won with Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Davis was adorable to watch and showed versatility throughout her various dances in the season.
Jennifer Grey (Season 11)
Known as "Baby" and Jeanie Bueller, Jennifer Grey did a wonderful job with partner Derek Hough on DWTS. It is only fitting that the star of Dirty Dancing should win!
Laurie Hernandez (Season 23)
Laurie Hernandez won her season with Val Chmerkovskiy. She was part of the 2016 Final Five in Rio de Janeiro, winning the US a gold medal. The gymnast was a joy to watch and has marvelous stage presence.
J.R. Martinez (Season 13)
J.R. Martinez is a veteran, actor, burn survivor, and motivational speaker. He rightfully won with Karina Smirnoff and became a genuine inspiration to everyone who watched.
Hannah Brown (Season 28)
In the most recent season finale of Dancing with the Stars, former Bachelorette Hannah Brown won with Alan Bersten, putting Kel Mitchell in second place. Hannah has been a controversial figure since her days on The Bachelorette, but she did a great job and really wowed both the audience and the judges with her final numbers.
Melissa Rycroft (Season 15)
Melissa Rycroft became famous from the Jason Mesnick season of The Bachelor, and she turned out to be an exquisite dancer with the drive to win it all with Tony Dovolani.
Hélio Castroneves (Season 5)
Hélio Castroneves is a Brazilian race car driver and three-time Indy 500 winner. He did a phenomenal job with his excellent partner, Julianne Hough, making the duo a definite fan favorite.
Shawn Johnson (Season 8)
Shawn Johnson proved that she is a champion at everything, excitedly winning with Mark Ballas on her motivating and eye-catching season. Ballas and Johnson were the perfect duo.
Bindi Irwin (Season 21)
Pro Derek Hough guided many celebs to the Mirror Ball, but there's something special about conservationist and zoo operator Bindi Irwin. The daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter danced a passionate finale to "Footprints in the Sand" after a season full of other great numbers.
Amber Riley (Season 17)
Glee star Amber Riley is a Grammy-nominated singer with a gift for dance. She was dynamic on screen with Derek Hough and truly shined whenever she performed.
