The story continues in Destiny 2: Season of the Spliceras the Guardian works alongside Mithrax to pinpoint Quira's location and put a stop to the never-ending night. Week seven of the Season of the Splicer is live in Destiny 2, resetting pinnacle and powerful gear for all players in activities. The story doesn't quite finish up here though, as Path of the Splicer VIII is sure to continue on June 29.

Outside of the main story and rewards reset, new weekly bonuses have been added to Gambit. For a short time, Gambit players will be able to earn up to three times the normal amount of Infamy earned from matches and consecutive wins. It's a bit of a relief to hear this, especially considering one of the seven new weekly challenges will require players to spend some serious time in Gambit.

Every Week 7 Challenge in Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer

Week seven begins with Path of the Splicer VII in a challenge called The Dark Network. Players will have to complete Path of the Splicer VII, as well as defeat a specific percentage of Champions anywhere in the system. Champions defeated in Override or Expunge are worth more towards completion. This quest is obtained by visiting the H.E.L.M. and speaking with Mithrax via the terminal.

Rewards

  • x2 Extra Large XP
  • Decrypted Data +150

Ethereal Splicer III is the next challenge, requiring players to collect Ether by playing in Stikes, Gambit, Crucible, Public Events, and more. For those who have been playing week-to-week, it's a challenge that most likely will start off completed. The progress for this challenge is retroactive for weeks past.

Reward

  • x2 Extra Large XP

The third challenge is In It For Infamy. This challenge requires players to earn 16 ranks in Gambit, but it is not a retroactively earned challenge. Fortunately, the weekly activity bonus this week involves earning three times the amount of Infamy for Gambit. Take full advantage of this challenge bonus since completing this challenge is required to earn the Seasonal reward of a Large Bright Dust Pile. The rewards for this challenge are helpful for those trying to complete the Destiny 2 Season Pass.

Rewards

  • x8 Extra Large XP
  • 300 Bright Dust

Conquest of the Mighty is the fourth challenge, and arguably the hardest challenge of the week. This challenge requires Guardians to complete any Nightfall Strike on Grandmaster. All fireteam members must be at or above 1335 Power to play the activity Take caution of the eleven modifiers included on this week's Nightfall.

Rewards

  • x8 Extra Large XP
  • 300 Bright Dust

The fifth challenge, Expedited Expunge: Styx, is reminiscent of a challenge included in weeks three and five. Complete the Expunge: Styx mission in 9 minutes or less. This is the Expunge mission that is included in this week's Path of the Splicer quest. Destiny 2's Hawkmoon Hand Cannon is a particularly useful weapon on this challenge thanks to the Paracausal Shot.

Rewards

  • x2 Extra Large XP
  • Decrypted Data +150

Machine Gun Splicer, the sixth challenge, requires players to defeat combatants with Machine Guns in Override or Expunge. Bonus progression is awarded for precision final blows. This challenge should not take players too long to complete. By playing through Path of the Splicer VII a decent percentage of this challenge can be completed, requiring only a few more playthroughs of Override to finish it up. It's recommended to use the Machine Gun weapon class while grinding for weekly gear rewards.

Reward

  • x2 Extra Large XP

The seventh and final challenge for the week is Cadre of Contenders. Players will need to complete Crucible matches in the Competitive playlist, earning additional progress for wins.

Rewards
