A first-person shooter developed by Croteam and published by Devolver Digital, Serious Sam 4 is a game that does not take itself too seriously. Throughout the game, players see the world through the eyes of Sam Stone. Through gory battles, Sam and his friends must defeat the Mental Horde and save the world.
There are many different secrets hidden in Serious Sam 4, including gadgets, hidden power-ups, and optional secret bosses. While players don’t need to take on these bosses, they can provide some extra entertainment. Below is a list of secret bosses that have been found so far, as well as how to activate them.
How to Find the Secret Bosses in Serious Sam 4
There are four secret bosses so far that have been identified. While some of them players can activate simply by discovering them, others will have to be activated on purpose. Keep an eye out for these secret bosses to get as much out of the game as possible.
Cow King
In the Death From Above area, players that cross the bridge will eventually come across an archway that is blocked by a set of bars. On the bars, there will be a sign that reads “Attention Secret Project Area, No Visitors” with a cow on it. Shoot it to activate the Cow King. The warning “The Secret Cow King has been disturbed by your disrespect!” will be shown, and the Cow King will appear.
Big Rocket Man Pyrone
Where the player first fights a Reptiloid, there will be a way to encounter the Big Rocket Man Pyrone. To find him, face the exit and move left to a lower area. Go through the arches toward the health pickups and get ready to face Pyrone. “Secret Big Rocket Man Pyrone has been summoned!” will be shown upon his arrival.
Count Dracula
Players can find Count Dracula in the graveyard after picking up the Rocket Launcher and killing a dozen Kleers. In this area, there is an open coffin with Dracula’s corpse in it near three more Kleer. Use it to get the prompt “Secret Count Dracula awakened!”
Lava Golem
The Lava Golem Secret Boss can be found near the armor and rage serum in the Gates of Hell. In a corner near the armor pickup, there will be a very small lava golem that the player can mercilessly shoot. A much larger lava golem will then enter the thrall.
With the locations above, all four of the secret bosses that have been found so far can be found and defeated in Serious Sam 4.
Serious Sam 4 is available for PC. The game will launch on Play Station 4 and Xbox One in 2021.
