Sony's PlayStation Plus subscription service is getting revamped to give users access to more games, including a significant number of first-party exclusives. Certain PS+ tiers have access to classic PlayStation games as well, but the new model is especially enticing for those who may have missed out on the PS4 generation's exclusives. The PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium price points will give users access to dozens of PS4 and PS5 games, most of which come from Sony's first party development studios.

PlayStation Plus has long included downloadable games, with a few new offerings every month, and has been required for online play since the PlayStation 4 released. With the success of Microsoft's Game Pass for Xbox and PC, gaming subscriptions have become more prevalent, and the new PS+ model seems designed as a direct competitor. Game Pass still may be the better deal overall, but not by much, and this catalog of PlayStation exclusives is the marquee draw for Sony's refreshed service.

PlayStation's modern reputation has largely been built on the back of single-player exclusives. Sony had already teased that Plus' new look would include many critically acclaimed first-party titles, and the full launch window list is quite impressive. The new PlayStation Plus tiers launch in North America on June 13, and alongside the third-party offerings listed by PlayStation Blog, subscribers will have plenty of AAA experiences at the ready.

Every True PS4 & PS5 Exclusive Coming To The New PS+

Marvel's Spider-Man is an indulgence, as long as its more troubling aspects can be ignored.

The following is a list of true PS4 and PS5 exclusives - games that haven't been ported to PC - coming to PS+. Some notable omissions from the list include the original cult classic Demon's Souls for PS3, which will be available to stream on PS4 for subscribers of PS+ Premium, and LittleBigPlanet 3, which was a cross-generation release on PS3 and PS4. An odd one to not be included in the new PS+ at all is Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, a PS5 version of the PS4 exclusive with enhanced visuals and performance settings.

Every PS4 & PS5 Console Exclusive Coming To The New PS+

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers will include first-party console exclusives that have also made their way to PC

These last five titles are games that have been part of Sony's efforts to bring PlayStation games to PC, but can still be considered console exclusives. Of note is Death Stranding, which has its Director's Cut listed separate. Death Stranding Director's Cut has additional content and is still only available on console via PS5.

  • Days Gone (PS4)
  • Death Stranding (PS4)
  • Death Stranding Director's Cut (PS5)
  • God of War (PS4)
  • Horizon Zero Dawn (PS4)

Some more recent releases are noticeably missing from both lists, such as Horizon Forbidden West and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. This is an impressive catalog for PlayStation Plus, but Sony doesn't appear to be taking the Game Pass route completely, and won't offer first-party exclusives on the service as they release.
