Fishing is a big part of the Stardew Valley experience. Players will receive their own fishing rod fairly early into the game and can capture various fish depending on the type of rod and the body of water available. Early on, players will likely eat the fish directly to increase their stamina meter for the day but there are tons of other uses for fish that players will discover during their time in Pelican Town. Now, Ginger Island is filled with tons of new fish to capture. Here are all the new fish in this new update.

Every New Fish in Stardew Valley (Update Version 1.5)

Here is every new fish for players to find throughout their time in version 1.5 of Stardew Valley.

  • Blue Discus.
  • Legendary fish: Glacierfish Jr, Legend II, Ms. Angler, Radioactive Carp, Son of Crimsonfish.
  • Lionfish.
  • Stingray.

Outside of just fish, players can discover new crops, furniture, NPCs, weapons, and so much more in version 1.5. This is the most substantial update to come to Stardew Valley yet. While players may have turned their attention to the newly released Animal Crossing: New Horizons, one of the biggest and top-selling games to release in 2020, the enchantment of the game has dropped since its initial release. It is likely players are looking for a new life-sim to start from scratch or find new content for. Version 1.5 is a great way to bring in old players while introducing the game to players who have never touched Stardew Valley before. It remains one of the best life-sim titles out there.
