Several new crops have been introduced in the newest Stardew Valley update. This guide will help players with each new crop available on Ginger Island. Stardew Valley recently introduced version 1.5 update, the biggest update the game has ever seen. Currently, the update is only available on the PC version of the game but plans to release it for other platforms in early 2021. Once the update is installed, head to Willy the Fishermen at the southern docks of Pelican Town. He will ask the player to assist him in repairing his ship and provide a list of required materials. Once the player has collected everything, they can start setting sail for Ginger Island for a brand new adventure. Here are all the new crops available on Ginger Island.

Crops are a substantial part of the Stardew Valley experience. Not only can players grow food to sell and consume more energy, but they can also use these items as decor for their farm. A large part of the game is rebuilding your grandfather's farm to its former glory. The game begins with a broken down and disgusting front lawn that can be transformed into anything the player desires. Crops are vital for bringing life back to the farm. Several new crops have been introduced into the game through the 1.5 updates. Here are all of them.

Every New Crop in Stardew Valley (Version 1.5)

Stardew Valley Gem Bird

Here is every new crop introduced in the version 1.5 update of Stardew Valley.

  • Banana.
  • Fiber Seeds.
  • Ginger (forage).
  • Mahogany Tree (drops hardwood).
  • Mango.
  • New palm tree variant.
  • Pineapple.
  • Taro Root (paddy crop).
  • Qi Fruit (available during Qi special quest).

The Qi Fruit is one that players will come across after collecting 100 Golden Walnuts on the island. These can be found all over Ginger Island by helping the people who live there and solving puzzles. Mr. Qi is essential for getting all the good stuff hidden deep within Ginger Island.

While console players may have to wait a bit longer for the update to reach their platforms, this is still the biggest update to release for the game. While many may have turned their attention to Animal Crossing: New Horizons to fill that life-sim itch earlier this year, the hype for the game has died down a bit so releasing this update now will be vital to bring back old and new players. Stardew Valley is still one of the best life-sims out there.
